BERLIN - A man nearly died from alcohol poisoning after quaffing a liter (two pints) of vodka at an airport security check instead of handing it over to comply with new carry-on rules, police said Wednesday.

I have a friend who died suddenly two years ago. Immediately after his death, his Facebook profile turned into an area where people went to announce his funeral arrangements, to express to him how much he's missed, and even to wish him a happy birthday every year.
