Talking about getting old, 4 months ago I cancelled a direct recurring payment from my account of 5.95 to LGS. I have no idea who LGS are and what it was for. I figured they'd yell if it mattered. I've heard nothing.
And also in terms of regular payments, I have a subscription to Netflix, that I took out in the US in April. My credit card paid it for two months, and then in the third, suspended my credit card without telling me. When I realised payments were bouncing, and phoned them up, they told me there'd been a suspicious attempt to charge my account from the US. They didn't explain what was suspicious about a charge of $7.95 from Netflix, who I'd think most people would have heard of by now. I also think that if someone had been attempting card fraud, they might have gone a bit higher than $7.95.
