In addition to spending time this weekend with family, I've also fought a vicious little war with DRM, and won.

Circa early 2007, I bought about five albums from Yahoo's Music service. (Note the operative word there: I *bought* them.) I dutifully burned copies of the songs onto CDs for backup purposes. Or at least I think I did. Maybe.

My PDA is dying. This is primarily a problem because I use it as an e-reader, and I'm not really ready to face the decision of whether or not to try and buy a real ereader or not. My BlackBerry's trackball has developed problems. I can scroll three directions, but no matter what I do, I can't go all directions. This effectively means I'm very limited in my use of the phone.
