I'd just dial up the accent and say sweet as pie, "Sorry, I'm an atheist, but you take care now!" Click.
For some reason, though, this has never happened to me. I just don't seem to get aggressive proselytizing very often. You'd think, but . . . not really.

I'd love to hear, but can you call back later? There's a pair of young Mormons here explaining things about the Bible I'd never realized before and it's all so thrilling -- but anyway, it'd be *terribly* rude of me to leave them just sitting in my living room while I took a call ... I mean, I'm sure they'd understand, since you're both sharing the same Gospel with me and - hey! would you like to talk to them?!

You know, when I first read the comment I assumed it was you, then looked and saw that it wasn't. I found that amusing.

One week before my thesis was due there were people handing out bibles at the campus center. as they offered me one (me on my way to purchase more stimulants like m&ms and tea), I kinda-accidentally-without-thinking-about-it said "God hates me." It got a good response.

Also, I met a friend of yours in the break room at work today.
