Though what he does to Czes makes me sad, but it seems like something that might be best in the long run. My ideal ending is for Isaac and Miria to adopt Czes, but I also demand images of Claire and Chane's wedding (I assume Chane is the person he wants to marry).
It probably is better for Czeslaw's character, I suppose, as I guess he has a lot of learning to go through in his life before he can become even remotely well-adjusted. . .
I think you're right about it being Chane, and darn it, I want to see that, too.
An Isaac/Miria/Czeslaw family would be the cutest thing ever, though frustrating for Czeslaw, I imagine.
I'm glad you liked it! It's such an awesome series, it never loses its touch.
Ditto everything Flaed said, especially about Claire. He's my second-favorite out of the whole lot in spite of just being thoroughly nasty.
Firo and Ennis' story is probably the most straightforward and simple, but that makes it charming, in my opinion. They actually remind me of the sort of characters you'd see in a Studio Ghibli movie; they're really honest and impressionable and their feelings change quickly, despite being in sort of less-than-savory surroundings.
Out of curiosity, what's the thing you sort-of-realized about Czes' past? I've watched it twice (with my eyes closed), so I might be able to verify it.
It really doesn't! I want to finish it quite badly at this point.
