So, the Oscar nominees were announced today.  WALL-E got a bunch of nominations, all of them fairly pointless except for Best Original Screenplay and Best Animated Film.  That last one is only semi-pointless.  Dark Knight also mostly got pointless nominations, except for the Heath Ledger thing, which everybody knew was going to happen.  I'm ( Read more... )

Has anybody on my f-list seen Bolt yet?  I'm very hesitant about non-Pixar Disney 3D films, and the premise seems stupid, but I'm hearing good things about it, and it is the first Lasseter-supervised Disney 3D film, if I'm not mistaken.

Well, I just went over the Annie nominations, and I'm a little confused.  Why so many nominations for Kung Fu Panda?  I haven't seen it, but . . .
