Depending on what you do every year for taxes, you'll probably be interested to know that the government as changed its e-filing requirements, opening it up for free to more people. I've alweays sucked at doing my taxes. I'm very thankful I married the daughter of an accountant that now does them for us (His price is a six-pack of a decent Northwest microbrew, as he lives in SoCal).

He saved me once. There was a clerical error on some stock options I sold once, and the IRS was coming after me for $16,000. He figured out that not only were they in the wrong, but that they owed me $40...

Ha... Nice.

Yeah, it really does help tremendously to have a pro on your side, as they're experienced in not just taxes but in other areas of finance. It really helped every time we bought a house, etc.

We manage to balance each other, which is nice. I've never had enough finances to really need her to do her thing, but she keeps all the business in order.

On the other side of things, people need to rely on the pros whenever they can, instead of gathering hearsay from their dipshit friends or going to H&R Cock, which is pretty much just paying someone to enter numbers into TurboTax for you.
