今日はさいたま市のサオリンさんからいただいた誕生石の問題です。
Today’s question is from Saorin-san in Saitama City, about birthstone.
1月から12月までの各月に宝石があてられていて、自分の生まれた月の宝石を身につけると加護があるという俗習があります。
From January to December, each month has its own gem/ precious stone. It’s a common tradition that you’ll get divine protection if you put your birthstone on your body.
さて、5月の誕生石は何でしょうか。次の3つの中から選んでください。
Then, what is the birthstone for the month of May? Please choose from these next three:
1 エメラルド (emerald)
2 軽石 (pumice)
3 賢者の石 (kenja no ishi = wiseman stone..?)
答えは1番の「エメラルド」です。
The answer is number 1 [emerald].
ということで、今週はサトコさんの質問にお答えします。
Then, this week I’ll answer the question from Satoko-san.
「私の父は渓流釣りが好きでよく行きます。
そんな父はお魚を食べるのがとても上手です。
大野くんはいかがですか？
釣り好きの人ってお魚食べるのが上手なんでしょうか」
[my father really likes to fish in a mountain torrent (stream) so he often goes there.
That kind of father is really skillful in eating fish.
How about Ohno-kun?
Does a person who likes to fish always skillful in eating fish?]
なるほど。
I see.
僕はね～・・・へったですよ！ 本気で。
As for me ne~… I’m bad at it yo! Really.
でもね、中にはきれいに食べるね。身も全部ってね。
But, I eat the inside neatly ne, and all of the meat ne.
うちのおじいちゃんもね、あの、魚食べるのうまいですよ。ええ。
My grandpa is also ne, ano, skillful in eating fish yo. Yeah.
もうね、何にもなくなっちゃうの。
Nothing will be left.
ふふふっ（笑） ほとんど食べちゃうんですよね～。
Fufufu~ (laughs) he eats most of it ne~
僕ね、箸の持ち方がね、イマイチね、できてないんですよ（笑）
ちゃんと、ええ。
As for me, even now I cannot hold chopsticks in a proper way (laughs)
だから細かいのとかね、意外と取れなかったりね。
That’s why for the tiny parts, unexpectedly I cannot take it ne.
まあね、海釣りと川釣りとではね、お魚の種類も違うんでね。
Well, the types of fish in sea-fishing and river-fishing are different ne.
多分、骨の数だったり、あの、細さはだいぶ違いますよね。
Mabye, the number of bones, ano, or the thinness is pretty different ne.
でもね。僕は海釣りでお魚ね、取って食べますけど。
But I catch and eat the fish that I get when I fish in the sea.
多分ね、海釣りのほうがね、お魚もデカかったりするんでね。
Probably ne, the fish that is caught from the sea is usually bigger,
骨が太い分、食べやすいと思うんですけどもね。
The bones are thicker and so it becomes easier to eat.
でもね。それでも僕は下手ですね。
But even so, I’m still not good at it.
