And who doesn't love the idea of being a falconer? I think it must be some kind of throwback to primitive man.

I've hankered a little for falconing since I read My Side of the Mountain as a kid! It must be. I have students who practice falconry, usually the really rich ones because a trained falcon can cost tens of thousands of dollars in the Middle East.
I want to send a thumb drive message with a pigeon!

OOOOh and I saw a hawk about half an hour ago while I was walking the dog - I wasn't close enough to see what kind though.

Any books I might be interested in burying I wouldn't anyway because I'd be afraid they'd poison the insects.
