I have not caught up on a LOT of online type things from last weekend and this week, and indeed from all through the summer - I apologize. They're all still on my lists. In the meantime, here are some Good Things. I keep a running list, and I must not have posted any in awhile, because the first one is a month old.

The weeping angel costume is AMAZING!!! The detailed work that went into it! Ack! I am highly impressed. Thanks for the cute rodent links!

Isn't that fantastic? I was agog. Did you read her story of unknowingly meeting Jewel Staite?

I actually have some piggy pictures for you and elspethsheir - should get to those early next week. :)

Oh! That's what I meant, is that how it's typed out? In the movie it's hard to hear for sure, so I always thought they skipped the preposition in the abbreviation. And then I debated long and hard on whether to include the "s" at the end to make it plural, because that's the way they *say* it, but it's not actually correct because the plural is in the first noun and would be hidden, like mothers-in-law.

ETA - never mind, confirmed - most of the instances on Google use the O. Another case of my making dumb mistakes because I rely on my ears! It's the opposite of my problem when I was a child - I had a big vocabulary because I read all the time, but couldn't pronounce a lot of things because I'd never heard them spoken aloud. Now I get all my news, for instance, from the radio, so I don't know what anybody looks like or how to spell their names.

I have no idea. We don't always say U.S. of A., so I think RUS covers it. I should have figured that's what you meant, though. :D

OK, but they're very cute rodents. *nods*

That Weeping Angel costume is really incredible. For some reason the "gloves" in particular bowled me over. Also - Jewel Staite squee!

While I did not get to wear such an incredible costume, I did get to do a haunted house once where I did a pretty good job of making people think I was a dummy until I went into 'startle' mode (I was the ghost of a guillotined aristo from the French Revolution). It was amazing fun except for the the teenagers who tried to light me on fire (unsuccessfully, thank goodness, because I was quite flammable at the time).
