I have not caught up on a LOT of online type things from last weekend and this week, and indeed from all through the summer - I apologize. They're all still on my lists. In the meantime, here are some Good Things. I keep a running list, and I must not have posted any in awhile, because the first one is a month old.
* This granddad knitted pink and purple daleks for his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. He's never seen Doctor Who, he just knew *they* were fans. And while I'm at it, Penwiper made an INCREDIBLE weeping angel costume. I am not exaggerating with the all caps. Read about how she made it and then check out her cosplay story linked at the bottom. I love TV fans.
* egj25 alertly spotted an illustration of the panting, spread-eagled squirrel phenomenon I mentioned back in the summer. Hee! (Did I share this before?)
* John Barrowman to host a Children's BBC show about animals with important jobs (link via fajrdrako) JB + animals = yay. And probably WAY too much energy, but it's a kids' show. :)
* I heart this photo of a mustachioed presenter holding a nutria in his arms and feeding it DumDums lolipops.
* Today's Wikipedia photo of the day is an extremely perky golden mantled ground squirrel. I just want to pet her tiny nose!
Huh. It looks like the list consists entirely of things related to Doctor Who and rodents. Well, that's pretty representative of the things I like. Okay, I'll add another:
* I have a teddy bear at work today, the small one wearing a Starfleet gold and black engineering uniform. Some days you just know when you leave the house that you're going to need a stuffed animal, so today I grabbed one. I don't care if it's "professional" or not.
