I drove a long way today, much of the time through torrential rain. When it wasn't pouring, though, I could see that the roadsides are full of asters, Canada goldenrod, a few wild sunflowers, and the last of the gaura, and the riverbottom fields and the road edges are covered in bitterweed. Ooh and I just read your post with the neat quote about the mirror and reflections. We kind of match! :) (And thank you.)

Wow, you took these while driving? Go you! Also, great pictures.

P.S. I love that poem, so much that I originally had the Mary Oliver poem in my wallpaper (thank you for that recommendation), but now I think I'll have to replace it with this one. I forgot how much I tend to love Maya Angelou.

I did. Thank you! It's, um, probably not advisable. But sometimes I can't restrain myself. I love clouds so. And in that first picture I just loved the way you could see, in the rear car window, the reflection of a reflection of clouds, and that one was actually the clearest.

I'm glad you like the poem! One thing I like about Maya Angelou is that - partly due to Bill Clinton being such a big fan - I've heard her read her poetry aloud often in my lifetime, so when I read her poems I can hear them in her voice and rhythm.
