Keeping track some more: the anomaly can be influenced by chemicals. Interesting.
Which is strange when you consider the anomalies have an effect on radio transmissions - I've a hard time believing anything can have properties of radio waves, magnetics, AND be influenced by chemicals. Seems like it should be either in the wave spectrum or the solid object spectrum - can it be both? Man, this is when doing so poorly in all my Science classes is a real hindrance.
It does seem odd. (Sadly, I made A-pluses in all my science classes, yet I'm less able than you to describe why it seems odd. My science classes sucked, which is a shame because as it turns out, I love science.)
I think Philip wants Connor in his pocket because he's worried that Connor suspects things or will learn things. Philip's keeping him busy, and under his control.
Because, of all the people in the ARC, Connor's the one who would figure out what Phillip is up to, since their areas of expertise are so similar. That makes sense! I've wondered all along if Phillip set up the "lockdown" as a test for Connor, to see how well he was able to work through the new "unhackable" layers of the ARC's systems--the only thing that throws me is that it turned out legitimately life threatening for Phillip. I guess he didn't expect Rex.
I liked her hair better in the second episode, I think, but I actually haven't noticed it much, which I guess is a blessing?
I don't think Philip intentionally set up Connor to see if he could hack through the systems. Philip didn't seem to expect what ensued. Maybe just a typical boss move -- not giving the employee all the important information?
That's what I concluded based on how it turned out, but it seemed like *such* a stupid mistake for him to make, not giving Connor vital information like the lockdown procedures, which could ONLY be overridden by Phillip. And Connor made it out to be complete busywork, which--why? Seemed like he was trying to keep him out of the field... I don't know, there's a lot that doesn't seem to fit together, and I don't trust this show to have an ending that will make everyone's motives and all the events slot into place. But I'll be happy if it does!
