Feel that Christmas spirit in the air yet folks?
It's gonna be a bit of a different Christmas for me this year. I'll be having Christmas at sea! Yep, not the traditional place to be on Christmas Day, but the 2 week cruise I'm going on with my family goes over Christmas Day (and my birthday for that matter) so it'll be kind of interesting to do

We haven't even put up a Christmas tree this year
We haven't either, and I'm sure we won't at all.

Indeed, I've heard excellent things about Milford Sound... the first day (well, actually the fourth day because the first three days are at sea obviously) we do 'scenic cruising' around Fiordland National Park and then we get to go to Milford Sound. I can't wait to check out that area. I'm also interested to tour Dunedin, Wellington and Auckland. btw, did you go to Akaroa or Tauranga? I'm curious because I don't really know anything about those places.

Oh how wonderful! A cruise! I'm envious as hell and you're going to have such a great time. And you're cruising around NZ? Awesomeness. Shame I'm not near a port or I'd have met up with you. if I do see a big ship I'll wave.
As for our Xmas, we'll be going up north on Xmas eve to stay at my brother's house, have a family picnic on Xmas day with my dad, then hubby will take the girls to his mum's and stay the night there. I'll still be at my brother's getting plonked I'd say. We have no other plans except for an occasional trip to the beach over the new year. Simple and not stressful, plus it's all about my daughters, really. I love the family spoiling them. :D

I've got a friend who did it 5 years ago, and who has still this in his heart ! He shared lot of photos which made me more wants to go and see this !
Hee hee !!!! I bet you'll take the most with the "sugar-food" on the boat, Hon' ! XD
And about my Christmas, well... you know... a part of my close family can't communicate anymore with each others... not because of physical problems... But just because they just hate each others... My sister cannot speak anymore to 2 of her 3 children without being insulted... an exemple between manies... like many lies. *sigh*
So, my brother and I, who live far away from this crazy family, will try to do our best to bring good vibes for this special time.
But that's really not pleasant to do, believe me.

All the waiters paraded into the dining room carrying them on trays! It looked very spectacular. And they were delicious too.
I also had everyone on our table (including our Filipino waiters) singing me Happy Birthday, and I got a special chocolate gateau cake and some balloons and a poster on the suite door.... and some flowers too! It's very cool if you happen to be celebrating your birthday or an anniversary during a cruise, they really make it fun for you.
They also make Christmas Day special too. A very unique way to spend Christmas Day, that's for sure!
