Umm....the older slivers. There is a card Dan was telling me about that will let you put into play anything that cost three mana or less. I do not know what it is called. I'll have to ask Dan.
I was using that as an example. And by the same token, you can use the Apprentice to play Magic online without owning any of the cards, so you don't have to invest a million thousand dollars. At least I think that's what the program's called-- I'll have to ask Maggie.
yeah that is a far better way to play, than MTGO, though you have to know the rules, in opposition to MTGO wich forces the rules on you.
A good example of that was "project x" which was unplayable online in MTGO becuse it took so long to get to a million or 2 million life by steps. Its a very popular and viable deck in tabletop
You poor thing, I won't sell you cards that I rightfully own. Boo hoo. Yes, I am a collector, and I don't give up things I've collected that easily. And hey, rather than "why won't you sell me your cards," why not ask if I want to get in on playing it again? Honestly, the biggest reason I stopped playing was lack of people to play against, but no, you don't think of that, just "Andy won't sell me his cards, so I'm going to pout about it." How about you just accept the fact that I don't want to sell you my cards, and let it be that, considering a bunch of trading cards is no reason to get bitchy.
Oh yes, and real cute with the "I'm pretending I'm trying to hide Andy's identity" crap.
Another thing, if you were to look at our collection and price the cards on an individual basis, it doesn't take a fucking genius to figure out that you would probably come up with a number in the hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. And that's even counting the fact that our cards are all in "good" and not "new" condition
( ... )
We all have things we like giving our excess money too. some folks can afford it some cant. I play tabletop because I like it, and find it more sociable than MTGO. Also, it gets me out of the house a couple of times a week.
If someone finds something that they enjoy doing, that does not harm you, why do you feel the need or right to stand in judgment over them?
