the weekend runs were ok, but overall I struggled to reach my distance goals this week; almost every run was a mile or two shorter than I thought it would be
Thursday 9/12: 2.2 miles Saturday 9/14: 6 mile long run
So last week, I was feeling burnt out. Didn't help my knee was bothering me and I had to wear my runner's knee strap most of the week. But that 6 mile long run went great. I haven't gone that distance since before my knee/hip injury last September when I fell, so it was actually exciting that I got that long run in and wasn't sore afterwards.
I have an 8 mile long run this Saturday. I've done lots of walking this week and even bought a treadmill, which I probably won't run on but I'll walk on a lot (I hate running on treadmills, I get a little dizzy). It's been raining it's butt off here in Virginia this week but hopefully I will be able to get my long run done this weekend.

Great to hear that the long run went well! And you are planning an even longer one.
I agree that treadmill should be absolutely fine for walking and maybe you will get used to it and do some running as well.
