Beautiful description of shooting stars. It reminds me of once watching them in the middle of the countryside on a clear still night. For the first time I realised they made a fizz-pop sound as they came through the atmosphere and burnt up (have never been anywhere quiet enough to hear it again). I listened to them coming through all night :)
