Making some adjustments. This could be considered the new beginning to the final segment of my canon, which I've bumped up by a couple of years.

I love how tense this scene is! And Lyssa is wonderful, as always. “Go eat demon shit, Your Highness?” is too perfect. I really liked the back and forth with her and Padric and now I want to read more about the mutiny plans!

I fretted forever over that damned line (the cursing, not the 'Your Highness' - that was eay ;))

Padric is going to have to make some more appearances. And I would like to do more with Dalton and Ski and this whole plot as well.

I felt bad for the end but I also just had to.

The contrast between Ski and Lyssa is really striking here. She's got some great lines here and I love how she was handling the knife.

Love this scene! I agree with Roisin about contrast between them and yet the similarities. The last bit DID hurt a bit, man. Lovely to see you writing again!

I'm curious about the mutiny but maybe even more than that about Ski and Dalton and how they work exactly. I know you said several times that it's more for business than anything else but still, I'm very excited about the fact that you decided to commit to it. And Lyssa is great as always :D

The mutiny is something I'm still figuring out. It was Marty's idea, and I loved it - it solved a lot of my problems - so I'm going with it.

I need to do more Ski and Dalton. I'm glad I committed to it too.
