Lots of nice little details in here. This has a kind of warm and fuzzy edge to it, despite the obvious sense of cold. It seems like Meivu does miss Briar on some level, even if she refuses to admit it to herself. Hopefully her journey will be a safe one :)

Dingdingding! Meivu is in major denial. I think that comment about warmth and cold fits her, as well. She tries too hard to be an ice queen, lol. :)
