Sport if probably a good thing. Physical activity will help to keep them all sharp for staying alive much better than books. I laughed out loud at this bit:

Yeah, Bri's actually quite smart and knew getting them all active would help a lot with the issues. I'm sure some of the games are ridiculous, but there's only so much seriousness that Bri can manage :P I'm glad you liked that line - it just had to be included, as it's a very Bri thing as well.

I like this. You really captured the air of waiting, that sense of impatience when you know something is going to happen soon but not knowing when, and as it drags on you start to wonder if there's any point at all. I really like that the captain went to Brighton, because he seems to be someone everyone likes and will listen to.

Oh I'm glad! I was trying to get the dreariness of all the waiting and I'm glad it came across! Bri might drive Beau crazy, but Beau's also very aware he's well liked and useful :D

before I saw Kay's comment, I was also going to say that you captured the sense of waiting and twiddling-your-thumbs very well :) Bri seems like a fun character. looking forward to getting to know these guys better!
