And poor Cygnelius, having to be scarred like that forever.

Not forever, actually. After Ibis Marks him, his arm eventually recovers. On the other hand, his left eye gets gouged and replaced with a..."special" replacement, but he at least gets full use of his arm back? It's explained in an ancient root beer float piece.

ALSO THAT PIC. SO CREEPY. YVONNE IS THINKING BAD BAD THINGS.

Has she ever had a pure thought, I ask you. :) I'm just relieved her expression is shady rather than blank.

Oh, man, I never know what to say to you that isn't incoherent flailing about how awesome you are. I was going to try for coherency this time around but I'm tired, so... OMG. DUDE. OMG. JUST AWESOME. The first one is so cool with Cygnelius's dad and the comparisons between him and the ghost and the way you let the reader figure it out for themselves and it gave me chills and and and. AND YVONNE. Is this creepy post? Because Cyg's dad is creepy and Yvonne is SUPER creepy with her face and the colors and the just this side of red and her CRAZY EYES and basically all of it, this is super awesome. SUPER AWESOME.

THIS IS TOTES A CREEPY POST. I was listening to The Mountain Goats' "The House That Dripped Blood" while I was working on the curtains, and thought it fit. So glad that came through/did not appear hamfisted. <3
