"Everyone knew she was sleeping with Newson. Everyone but her husband, apparently. The strange queasiness returned."

Oh! I don't like feeling bad for Verity, she's supposed to be a bitch not a complicated woman with deep feelings that can get so hurt! But I do, and I like her all the more for this. Great great piece, you wrung out all the right emotions at all the right times.

I've always loved Verity in a weird kinda way, even though sometimes I wonder if I should give her a hot fudge tag. Thanks! Glad to hear I managed her emotions OK... see, not everything I write comes out totally silly. XD Well, maybe.

I almost feel bad for Verity. She must think that Pia and Edward are sharing more than a tight friendship; I would.

That's the conclusion she jumps to. There's a lot she doesn't know about her husband, and in fairness to her he does keep his latest personal discovery from her for a while (though that's just because he's scared).

Yeah, these two are screwed up. XD

PIA DYES HER HAIR WHY. This is a crime to naturally red hair. A CRIME I TELL YOU.

*sob*

Meanwhile, I do feel kinda bad for Verity here because she just doesn't understand her husband at all. I'm glad they'll work it out in the future.

Haha, Pia doesn't appreciate redheadedness. She dyes her hair every five seconds. XD

Something tells me, for all Verity doesn't understand her husband, she would have understood him even less if she'd actually watched the movie. In a way, I feel sorry for her, but in a way, not. She's feeling jealous for something that she doesn't seem to have ever wanted before Pia was in the picture... Some people are strange like that. Nicely done :)

Yeah, Verity is complex but not exactly a good guy, though I do feel bad for her at times. :) Thanks!

Interesting piece. I always have these mixed feelings about pieces from the woman who you're supposed to hate. >
