“What do you mean?”
“Well, how does it feel?”
“Um. Have you ever told a joke and had it fall completely flat, and nobody laughed and they weren't your friends but they were strangers and you never ever wanted to tell a joke or even speak ever again because it was so awkward and embarrassing? You sort of wish you could rewind time and disappear forever?”
“Ha, yeah!”
“It’s like that. All of the time.”
“Oh...”
“Even when I dream.”
“Oh. Right. OK. Um...”
“You get used to it after a while.”
