Aaaaaanyway, this is great. I just love how he and Ivy interact, and this is no different.
Aaron shrugged, and tried without complete success to look less horrified. "I don't know, I just... I guess I thought I'd like it if I tried it. I mean, everyone else seemed to be into it, and... I thought it was like bungee jumping or something."
This may or may not have sparked a protective, "Oh honey no. D:" reaction from me. Maybe.
(Is the part about asexuality automatically being queer because it's not heterosexuality the bit you don't agree with? Because I see how that might be iffy.)
*throws confetti at you* Any particular reason you suspected Aaron? :D And your protective urges are not unmatched. *cuddles him*
Yeah, that would be the part I don't agree with. While I do think asexuality should be recognized, I don't necessarily think of it as queer, because queer deals with sexuality and asexuality is, by definition, the lack thereof. But it's a debate that's still going on and I know which side of it Ivy's on, so, whatevs.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And also glad that you guessed right. :D Thanks for reading!
I really don't know. It was kind of a feeling? Your characters are real enough to make impressions like real people do, and I thought it would make sense for him. And, I mean, Ivy being with Gina was getting written about a lot, but there was no mention of Aaron with anyone, which made me wonder if he might be figuring things out or what. (Which is why I asked about his first crush in the truth or dare meme. I was curious to see if that would spark anything
( ... )
I think I mentioned a girlfriend very early on in one piece, but generally, yeah, he doesn't have many relationships, poor duck. Though he does wind up getting married-- I'm just not sure to who, yet.
Interesting observation about the LGBT community, incidentally. I think I shall play with it a bit, but it feels like there's an essay there. And thank you for the compliments re: characters. :D
They are, aren't they? And yeah, there's people who refuse to believe it exists, and people who think it's another word for "just don't like sex," which it isn't, and then there's the much more minor question of whether we count as queer or not. Generally there's a lot of fights. Anyway. Thank you so much for reading, and for your compliments, and welcome back!

So much awesome I can not quote it all for fear of quoting everything. And apparently asexuality is controversial? I have something to look into.
