The floor isn't yet turning out as expected. We are using an acid stain on the concrete (note: those photos are a lot more fancy than what we have planned, but that's the idea), and I think part of the problem is that the concrete is very dense. The Mac is healthy again and I am headed out shortly to b'ham to pick it up. It has a fresh new 320G hard drive and cost me $200 total. I really really really want the pretty new MacBook Pro, but I think for a repair cost of $200 I can stick it out with my old one for a while.
