I think it's also useful to remember that "failure" is at least somewhat subjective. Or, that what gets touted at failure often isn't a total loss. Also, even with the (ad)ventures that don't go as planned, one usually ends up gaining skills and knowledge that come in handy on the next try, and sometimes ends up at an even better place than originally imagined
