Does it really stack?...

I might be wrong about the weapons from sea...

I was with a friend farming organs an hour ago in sea for our second gorgets, and I decided to switch from Gawaine's and play around with the Fortitude Axe for a few rounds. The following three Steel Cyclones after equiping it all had a double attack go off in them. I continued to play around with it ( Read more... )

ooh so in theory, 300% TP Steel Cyclone, Double Attack from the Gaxe and Double Attack from Job Ability. Hotness!

I don't really know exactly how the virtue stones work, but I'm going to guess that you lose a stone every time double attack proctors? Assuming that's the case, you could just watch the count on the stones before you WS and after if you wanted to find out for sure.

lol, that would be insane... It seems like it would be overpowered, hence why I'm really unsure and doubtful bout it. But after today it leaves me kind of wondering. ><

It eats a stone everytime the double attack from the weapon kicks in, I never tried looking to see if it ate a stone during the weapon skill though. Usually too busy hitting a chain of like 6-7 macros for equipment swaps and SA and TA and the WS, lol.. I'll try it out next time and see for sure.

I heard that a MNK with the Faith Baghnakhs using hundred fist would attack so fast that it would disconnect the user...I think these weapons are differnately up for an nerf.

I've heard a lot about how powerful MNK is with these weapons, on the other hand I haven't heard much of anything about the other weapons... MNK definately seems to gain the biggest advantage from these so far. Even with the huge delay, the really high double attack rate makes it almost unoticeable.

Not sure if they'll be nerfed, although it's always a possibility ><... We'll see.

switch the stones in just for ws? iono how they work, but if you want to save the stones, you can do that. since they take an ammo slot and you won't loose tp.. might as switch with bombcare>faith and back :3

Nah, I still have plenty of stones. :)

Around 3000 if I traded in all the crap organs I have saved for it.

if you have a rajas ring it might explain why you got the extra TP. not too sure about this, but ive gotten weird numbers on my weapon skills a lot too (with and without the al'taieu weapons) (i doubt double attack and the weapon double attack stacks) i got a free lot temperance axe for my ranger. i never saw such thing happen

I do have Rajas, but I can tell pretty easily from when double attack kicks in and when it doesn't.. Regardless of the TP, it's very noticeable with Steel Cyclone. One WS may do 900, and then at the same TP suddenly you do 1.5k.

Whenever double attack goes off in my weapon skill, particularily in Steel Cyclone, the damage is always higher but it is never anything too amazing. Of course all of my highest numbers have been the times when Double Attack fires, but it seems to me that it only adds roughly 200 or so damage to it (probably just the dmg of a regular hit, unless of course it happens to be a critical), nothing too insane. And thus I don't really think having it go off twice would be THAT overpowered, because it's not something that will happen on a regular basis. I think it's safe to say that if Double Attack from the weapon stacks with JA double attack, it probably stack with the WS as well. Honestly though, I'm still quite surprised this is the case, and wouldn't be surprised if they changed it. Which reminds me, remember that time they (mistakenly?) changed something in an update so Double Attack of any sort didn't stack with Weapon Skill? That was a sad time for Warrior ( ... )

Usually if double attack kicks in for a WS it's most noticeable with higher TP. At 100% TP the difference between a double attack WS and no double attack is pretty small, but still noticeable... At 300% TP though you can really tell the difference, because the bonus that you get on the first hit when you're at 300% TP applies to the double attack hit as well.

Still testing it, no definate results yet.

That's what we're hoping... There's really not too much to do in sea, especially for the tremendous effort it takes to get access.;

Rumor is it will open either next update later this moth, or the expansion that will come out around December.
