Notes: I wrote this based on a song called Wouldn't Change A Thing. A song from Camp Rock 2 the Final Jam. hehe :P The first time I heard this an idea automatically appeared in my head and I knew i had to write KamiShi based on this :P so yus~ this is a SONGFIC and it's my first attempt at writing this style ~ hehe :P hope you enjoy! :D

Perfectly Imperfect
“Hey,” Shida said, smiling, as she sat next to Kamiki on the sofa.
“Oh, hey, Mirai-chan.” The boy put his arm around the girl, pulling her close before gently kissing her forehead.
Shida smiled, but faintly now. It’s not that she didn’t like this. It just felt like there was something missing.
The two’s relationship developed nicely after they confessed their love for one another and became a couple, but after a few months, Shida couldn’t help but notice that something has changed.
It's like he doesn't hear a word I say
His mind is somewhere far away
And I don't know how to get there
Wanting to convince herself that this was not the case, Shida tried to ask her boyfriend on a date. “Ne, Mikki, you wanna go out today? It’s been quite a while since we went on a date, and it’s a rare chance that we don’t have work or school today, so… I feel like I don’t wanna waste this time.”
Kamiki turned to his girlfriend, “Hm? But we don’t really have to go outside to spend some time together… Let’s just stay here, k?” He attempted at hugging his girlfriend, but she slipped out of his arms and stood up, walking away.
“Okay. Never mind then.”
Kamiki was just too dense to notice how much going on a date meant to Shida at the time.

He makes me wanna pull all my hair out
Like he doesn't even care
Kamiki’s mind twisted. Here she goes again. Why does she take things so seriously?
She's way too serious
I mean… We don’t have to speed things up in our relationship…
She's always in a rush
Yes, it’s been a while since our last date, but isn’t being together the thing that matters the most? Kamiki felt bad about rejecting anyways, and tried to tell Shida, “Mirai-chan but we-“
“No. Don’t worry about it, Mikki. I understand.” But she cut him off, feeling too sad.

“But I just want to help,” Shida said after she found out that Kamiki was feeling down, wanting to do something to make him happy. But it was just one of those days when a guy gets pissed with no reason and the last thing they need is for their girlfriends to get up in their business. Kamiki needed space and although he didn’t mean to hurt his girlfriend and push her away, he did so anyway in instinct.
She's always trying to save the day
Just wanna let my music play
She's all or nothing
But my feelings never change
The two faced each other in the eye - Shida trying to figure him out, and Kamiki questioning her actions.
Why does he try to read my mind?
I try to read her mind
It's not good to psychoanalyze
“You don’t want me to be around you?” Shida asked, clearly angered.
“No, Mirai-chan it’s just… I need some time alone right now…”
Shida didn’t get this. She responded sarcastically, “Oh, okay. I get it. I’ll leave then.” Then she stormed off, annoyed at Kamiki being so clueless. I just wanted to make you happy! Is that so wrong?
Kamiki wanted to go after her, but he knew he wouldn’t know what to say anyway. He rolled his eyes and looked out the window. Why does she always have to be like this? Can’t she just understand that I need time to myself sometimes?
She tries to pick a fight
To get attention

Kamiki’s conscience spoke up inside him. Before he knew it, he was out to get his girl back. Sure, this time it wasn’t his fault, but it’s not like he didn’t know that Shida’s just like that. Afterall, he reminded himself, that that’s the personality he fell in love with in the first place.
Kamiki saw Shida down the hall and called out her name.
Shida’s eyes looked at Kamiki’s in search for emotions.

Kamiki met Shida’s eyes hoping to see the truth.

But these things were kept hidden and made invisible.

Kamiki gradually walked closer to Shida.
But I can't stay mad at you for anything
Once he got to her, Kamiki slowly wrapped his arms around his girlfriend’s fragile body, and softly pulled her into a warm embrace.

Like different stars
Despite their differing traits, they still know that their love for one another is strong. This is just how their relationship is like, and it’s nothing to hate.
Shida burried her face in her boyfriend’s shoulder.
But you're the harmony to every song I sing
Then she hugged him back.
And I wouldn't change a thing
“I’m sorry, Mirai-chan,” Kamiki said, his hands pulling Shida closer to him.
“No… Don’t be. You’re right anyway. We don’t have to go anywhere to spend some time together. What matters most is we’re with each other, right? And… I understand and accept the fact that you need to have some time on your own sometimes… I feel like that too afterall… I should be the one saying sorry… Sorry for being so selfish.”
Kamiki felt a string of happiness glow inside of him. She does know how I feel. “Mirai-chan… Don’t think like that. If anyone’s selfish then it’s me. I should have just realized sooner that you’re acting like this ‘cause we haven’t spent so much time together in so long… And… you just wanted to help because you wanted to make me happy. Arigatou. I love you so much.” He touched his lips softly on Shida’s, giving her a sweet kiss.
A genuine smile appeared on Shida lips as a teardrop of happiness rolled freely from her cheek, “I love you so much too.”
