Notes: I wrote this based on a song called Wouldn't Change A Thing. A song from Camp Rock 2 the Final Jam. hehe :P this is a SONGFIC and it's my first attempt at writing this style ~ hehe :P hope you enjoy! :D
p.s. this is exactly the same as the original version - the KamiShi one. only the names are changed and some more little tweaks to fit YamaChii~ :) and i only wrote this 'cause i know some people don't like reading fics with fcs... (i used to be like that :P) so i just wanted this fic to be readable by everyone~ :)

“Hey,” Chinen said, smiling, as he sat next to Yamada on the sofa.
“Oh, hey, Chii.” The boy put his arm around the younger one, pulling him close before gently kissing his forehead.
Chinen smiled, but faintly now. It’s not that he didn’t like this. It just felt like there was something missing.
The two’s relationship developed nicely after they confessed their love for one another and became a couple, but after a few months, Chinen couldn’t help but notice that something has changed.
It's like he doesn't hear a word I say
His mind is somewhere far away
And I don't know how to get there
Wanting to convince himself that this was not the case, Chinen tried to ask his lover on a date. “Ne, Yama-chan, you wanna go out today? It’s been quite a while since we went on a date, and it’s a rare chance that we don’t have work or school today, so… I feel like I don’t wanna waste this time.”
Yamada turned to him, “Hm? But we don’t really have to go outside to spend some time together… Let’s just stay here, k?” He attempted at hugging his loved one, but the younger slipped out of his arms and stood up, walking away.
“Okay. Never mind then.”
Yamada was just too dense to notice how much going on a date meant to Chinen at the time.

Yamada’s mind twisted. Here he goes again. Why does he take things so seriously?
He's way too serious
I mean… We don’t have to speed things up in our relationship…
He's always in a rush
Yes, it’s been a while since our last date, but isn’t being together the thing that matters the most? Yamada felt bad about rejecting anyways, and tried to tell Chinen, “Chii but we-“
“No. Don’t worry about it, Yama-chan. I understand.” But he cut him off, feeling too sad.

“But I just want to help,” Chinen said after he found out that Yamada was feeling down, wanting to do something to make him happy. But it was just one of those days when a guy gets pissed with no reason and the last thing they need is for people, even their lovers, to get up in their business. Yamada needed space and although he didn’t mean to hurt Chinen and push him away, he did so anyway in instinct.
He's always trying to save the day

He's all or nothing
But my feelings never change
The two faced each other in the eye - Chinen trying to figure Yamada out, and Yamada questioning Chinen’s actions.

“You don’t want me to be around you?” Chinen asked, clearly angered.
“No, Chii, it’s just… I need some time alone right now…”
Chinen didn’t get this. He responded sarcastically, “Oh, okay. I get it. I’ll leave then.” Then he stormed off, annoyed at Yamada being so clueless. I just wanted to make you happy! Is that so wrong?
Yamada wanted to go after him, but he knew he wouldn’t know what to say anyway. He rolled his eyes and looked out the window. Why does he always have to be like this? Can’t he just understand that I need time to myself sometimes?
He tries to pick a fight

Yamada’s conscience spoke up inside him. Before he knew it, he was out to get his precious little giant back. Sure, this time it wasn’t his fault, but it’s not like he didn’t know that Chinen’s just like that. Afterall, he reminded himself, that that’s the personality he fell in love with in the first place.
Yamada saw Chinen down the hall and called out his name.
Chinen’s eyes looked at Yamada’s in search for emotions.

Once he got to the younger one, Yamada slowly wrapped his arms around his lover’s fragile body, and softly pulled him into a warm embrace.

Despite their differing traits, they still know that their love for one another is strong. This is just how their relationship is like, and it’s nothing to hate.
Chinen burried his face in his loved one’s shoulder.

Then he hugged Yamada back.
And I wouldn't change a thing
“I’m sorry, Chii,” Yamada said, his hands pulling Chinen closer to him.
“No… Don’t be. You’re right anyway. We don’t have to go anywhere to spend some time together. What matters most is we’re with each other, right? And… I understand and accept the fact that you need to have some time on your own sometimes… I feel like that too afterall… I should be the one saying sorry… Sorry for being so selfish.”
Yamada felt a string of happiness glow inside of him. He does know how I feel. “Chii… Don’t think like that. If anyone’s selfish then it’s me. I should have just realized sooner that you’re acting like this ‘cause we haven’t spent so much time together in so long… And… you just wanted to help because you wanted to make me happy. Arigatou. I love you so much.” He touched his lips softly on his Chii’s, giving him a sweet kiss.
A genuine smile appeared on Chinen lips as a teardrop of happiness rolled freely from his cheek, “I love you so much too.”
