“Mikurishita! demo ureshii yo. I thought you gave up already on asking me to marry you…since I told you how I felt about marriage and all.” She said as they looked through some wedding magazines for ideas for their wedding.
“I thought I did too. To me, it was enough to have you by my side and I didn’t want to rush anything after all that happened. Ei, how about this?” He replied then pointed to a picture of a wedding souvenir.
“Hey, that’s so cute! I think it would go well with our motif too.” She remarked. “So what made you change your mind?” she continued.
“Your best friend did. She told me something you told her a long time ago. It’s sort of a “chance” or a loophole, as she called it, for the both of us.”
“Dita- chan did? What do you think of this gown?”
“It’s gorgeous, why don’t you try out some of them?”
“Yeah, let’s go to some wedding shops later then. You could also try on some tux. So what did she tell you?”
“You said that the only chance that you would get married would be first, is that you love that person and second would be depending on the proposal that he would come up with. You even said that even if you have a simple wedding as long as the proposal is really something grand or super special you would make it worth the effort because---”
“...because no matter what happens after, it would be a memory to look back to. A proposal that would erase all my anxiety for the future and make me focus on the present.” She finished. “That’s how I felt when you proposed to me.” She admitted, silently noting to thank her friend once they meet.
“Somewhere in your heart, you haven’t totally given up yet. Yokatta ne.”
“Thanks for not giving up either.” She smiled.
