There’s always a surprise at every corner and for a person who does not believe in happy endings but is willing to give “Love” a chance, destiny has prepared the biggest surprise ever. You just have to keep your mind open to any twist of fate that comes your way.

The next day, we were allowed to explore the city on our own. We roamed the streets, going from store to store, trying on clothes, eating, just having fun. It was just like back home. We walked most of the way.
When we were walking along the street, something caught my eye. It was the little girl and she was crossing the street by herself! Just then, I saw a car coming her way.
I must be out of my mind because the next thing I know was that the girl was already in my arms, I’m standing in the middle of the road with the car dangerously coming closer.
My body just froze and all I could do was shut my eyes as I tried to hold on tightly to the girl. The last thing I remember was hearing the cries of my friends muffled by loud honk of the car and the break sound as it tried to stop.
Suddenly, I felt warmth engulfing my body. When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was a guy’s face just a few inches from my own. I thought I died and now being taken to heaven by an angel or something. Then I came to my senses as the event flooded back to my mind. I looked at the child in my arms and sighed relief when I saw her clutching tightly to me.
The car was long gone.
“Daijoubu, we’re safe.” I smiled as I whispered to her.
“Are you ok?” our savior asked as he released us from his arms.
“She’s fine.” I answered as I put her down and examined her.
“I can see that. I’m asking about you.” He said looking at my foot.
I looked down, my right sandal was broken and now that I think about it, my ankle hurts a lot. I guess the adrenaline rush just subsided.
Just then, my friends came rushing to me.
“Rui, are you alright? Omo! Your foot!” they exclaimed.
“I’m fine, really. I think I just sprained my ankle.” I assured them but I remained seated on the ground, honestly I don’t think I can even stand up.
The little girl touched my foot. I cringed, it definitely hurt. She looked as if she’s about to cry as she saw my reaction, so I assured her that it’s fine. She looked at the guy.
The guy bended over and said, “Thank you for saving my little sister.”
Somehow, I wasn’t surprised to know that they’re siblings.
I shook my head, “If it wasn’t for you, we would still probably be hit by that car.” I admitted, “My body suddenly froze from fear.” “I should be the one to thank you.” I continued looking properly at his face, I couldn’t help staring. I must’ve look pretty stupid.
He just smiled. I think I just saw flowers floating all over him. “I’m Kim HeeChul by the way and this is MinHee, my little sister.” He introduced as he extended his hand.
I took it while introducing myself, “I’m Chen RuiLun and these are my friends, Misaki, Byul and Chie.” I said pointing to each of them. As I was doing so, I caught Misaki hastily putting something back in her bag. I wasn’t able to ask, at that time, their parents came. HeeChul explained what happened, their mom almost fainted from hearing the story. After thanking me again, they took MinHee to have a check-up. I had refused their offer of having one but without further adieu, HeeChul lifted me up and carried me into their car then asked my friends to come along as well.
While I was too busy being worried about how heavy I must be. My friends were giving smiling to each other then looked at me, I became more worried.
