Grandchildren (OJ side story)
"Ojiichan!" Rin cried as she ran towards Nino's grandfather sitting on the porch.

They have decided to visit and had just arrived.

"a-ra, What a pleasant surprise! How's my granddaughter?" Ojiisan inquired patting Rin's head who has hugged him.

Rin has lost both her grandparents who had spoiled her since birth. While on the other hand, Nino's folks have been trying to help him settle down but was always turned down. So when Nino finally introduced Rin, they were more than pleased to accept her, same goes for Rin who found a new family in them. Especially since Nino's granparents doted on her the same way as her passed grandparents did.

"Genki-desu! I missed you!" Rin smiled.

"Oi, oi, you shouldn't be surprising Ojiichan like that." Nino sighed coming after Rin, carrying some luggage.

"Tadaima." Nino greeted Ojiichan.

"Okaeri." Ojiichan replied.

"What's all the fuss?" Nino's Obaachan came out followed by his Okaasan. Both were equally surprised seeing the two.

"Obaachan! Okaachan! Tadaima!" Rin went and greeted them with a hug.

"Okaeri." Okaasan replied.

"Happy to see you more energetic." Obaasan laughed.

"Saa, come inside and have some afternoon snacks." Okaasan ushered everyone in.
"Now, what brings you two here?" Okaasan asked once they've settled in and having tea and cakes.

"Does this brat take care of you well?" Obaasan added turning to Nino.

"Eh?! Chotto Obaa-chan," Nino choked on his tea, "What do you mean by that?"

"Well, it seems that i see you more and more on T.V going all over the country. Wouldn't Rin-chan be lonely being alone?" Obaachan reasoned out looking towards Rin.

"Obaachan, arigatou!" Rin hugged Obaachan gratefully, all teary-eyed.

"Hora, hora." Obaachan eyed Nino suspiciously while patting Rin's head.

"Oi, were you really that sad?" Nino looked alarmed.

Rin turned to him and stuck her tongue out then buried her face back in Obaachan's bossom.

"Chotto, omae..." Nino started.

"Oi, you shouldn't call her that way." Ojiichan scolded.

"Gomen nasai." Nino admitted, "Nee, I'm your grandson." he whined.

"You're not the only grandchild here anymore, you know, she's also our grandchild now." Ojiichan reminded him, his eyes twinkled in amusement.

Rin laughed at him. Nino pouted.

"You two, stop fighting like spoiled brats and actually give us our own grandchild." Okaasan told the both of them off.

"Sou yo. We want grandchildren of our own to spoil." Nino's Otoosan has just arrived and overheard the conversation.

"Uh, Otoosama." Rin stood up.

"Okaeri." Nino followed after Rin.

Ojiichan and Nino made some room for Otoosan to sit while Rin helped Okaasan prepare tea and cake for Otoosan.

"Don't think we've forgotten what we were talking about." Otoosan said as he sipped some tea.

Nino and Rin laughed.

"Nee, Okaasama..." Rin wrapped her arms around Okaasan's shoulders after she handed the cake to Otoosan.

"Okaa-sama?" Okaasan repeated obviously amused. Rin laughed and nodded.

"Will you cook me your special and favorite crab soup if I tell you that you're going to be an Obaachan soon?" Rin smiled mischievously. Everyone turned to her then to Nino who was smiling as well.

"We wanted to tell you first hand." Nino hugged Rin from behind, both their hands on Rin's tummy.

Everyone was delighted and congratulated the two.

"Guess we're having crab soup tonight." Ojiichan remarked.

"We sure will." Okaasan laughed.

"Hontou? Yatta!" Rin celebrated. Nino laughed.

"Somehow, I'm getting worried that this childish couple will be parents soon." Obaachan said thoughtfully. Everyone agreed.
