Catherine's naming ceremony and first birthday party was a huge success. She was a little superstar and coped brilliantly with all the attention. It was lovely to see so many friends and family there, and we missed those who weren't able to make it. The Humanist lady wrote a wonderful ceremony which captured our spirit perfectly. So glad things are going well this fall for you all! How does Catherine like the Loopa? Then again, how does John like it? :-) I've gotten back to work a bit too. Some days are hard and tiring, but it's also been nice to use that other side of my brain and I love that big smile I get from Charlotte after not seeing her for a few hours.

Don't rush Catherine too much on the walking because after you get over the initial joy of seeing her walk you're next thought will be, "Well, goodness, what do we do now? She's walking!"
