I think this age ie now is good to star the food brachas. I have taught them to kids who were a few months younger than Mati is. remember you don't care right now if she says all the words, or even gets the words right. you want her to be aware we thank Hashem for our food, and to reflect on that when she goes to eat.

IYH I'll begin soon. I'll discuss it with her caregiver on Monday to see what she does and I'll probably start introducing the concept anyway.

3 is the beginning of chinuch? Where did you hear that? 5 or 6 I think.

Also, brochos you can start as soon as a child can talk. You can't expect immediate perfection.

3 is traditionally the beginning of Jewish chinuch. Although nowadays for many kids it starts at 5 or 6 as you say.

I'm not the type to expect immediate perfection, or perfection at all.
