I went to my parents house, saw 3 books that were just sitting around and snuck them in my bag, eagerly awaiting to post them and see how quick they'd go

You have teleported out of Nerdland and ended up smack in the middle of Junkyville.

That I'll publish a book and it will be great, but it'll be banished to the "Gay and Lesbian" section of Barnes and Noble, or the "African-American" section next to Zane.

I have the same fear which has crippled my writing to the point I haven't written anything in 3 years. I start thinking of plots, then I try work out every plot hole in my head and create the GREATEST story in the world and save Black Literature forever.

I might try this Novel Writing Thing ... as it would let me write for fun again.

when i first heard about it, I thought, "so what do you get after you 'win'? good feelings and a sense of accomplishment? i'll pass." but the more I sit around not writing, not even attempting the worst story ever told, I realize that maybe this is the kick-start I need.

So I went right out and bought the No Plot No Problem Book ... I hope to finish it before diving into the 30 day contest.
