I loved this and I think it was realistic with the parents not accepting it at first.

My parents were almost the same as Cam's parents when my brother came out. With time and patience, they eventually came to accept that it is part of who my brother is.

This is really good, loved the slow pace and the progress in Cam/Evan's relationship and the relationship between them and Cam's parents - nice!

Thank you! I have no idea where this fic came from, because it wasn't going to be like this originally. But it kept growing!

Lovely, lovely job, my dear :) You did a great job with the Mitchells, and I really felt for the boys the whole way through. Great addition to this verse!

Thank you! I think I wanted to write a story with a basically positive ending, that wasn't a happy, happy, joy-joy fic all around.

In my case, it was a sort of mixture of Cam's and Evan's parents. My mom accepted easily, but in my dad's case it was sort of hard. He felt a bit sad and maybe even dissapointed, but now we get along very well. This story is so sweet, and I feel totally identified...

I'm happy that your family is so accepting. I really wanted this to be true to life -- how people react. You've validated me, too! Thank you, dear.

Cam!whump...one of my favorite things (along with Cam/Evan.) :)

I think you did a great job with the Mitchell's and how they would have realistically acted.

It is sad that Cam/Evan have to hide in the first place, good to know they can be who they are around their families now though.

Thank you. I love writing Cam/Evan and there aren't too many of us out there! I wanted this to be realistic-- I don't know why, I just felt it needed to be addressed. So, again, thank you. :-)

I think this was totally realistic. I am a mother of two boys and I think I'm fairly open-minded, but I imagine there would be some shock, especially if my son was acting all tough and jock-like. I'm not saying a tough jock can't be gay, but it's just stereotypes that we're raised to believe, particularly for some families/areas. I really loved the progression in this and tying it in to the show's timeline also.

I really love Cam/Evan and you always do such a fabulous job of it--I like your tense & your POV choices. I did not see a beta listed, so if this is unbeta-ed, bravo! Very few mis-placed or extraneous words, no grammar or spelling issues that I could spot--great job! In fact, the only gaff I can think of is, "Was Clark Kent was born here?". That's it. Always a pleasure to read.

Thank you for your lovely comments. I hope, and I believe, that Cam's parents would overcome their shock and come to love Evan.

I don't have a beta-reader currently. My favorite beta is a little overwhelmed with RL at the moment. Thanks for catching my little misstep! I will fix it, post-haste. :-)

Wow! If this is an example of your un-beta'd writing, you don't make a lot of work for your beta. I feel her pain, though. I have not taken on any new beta projects myself lately for the same reasons. You are welcome!
