Well it's nearly summer, and last week we had our first heatwave. Temps at 40 deg C or more.

The paddocks were drying out, we had hundreds of fires all round the state.

Now for the last three days we have had heaps of rain. So much so that our rainwater tanks
are now full to bursting.

We may not have to buy water for a couple of months now.

I wanted to have a discussion about Twilight, versus Anne Rice's vampires, so I thought the place to to it would be on the VC board that I'm a member of.

Trust me to get it wrong. I really shouldn't say anything on any of the boards...I should always keep my opinions to myself.

I have Foxtel (cable tv) and have gotten a upgrade to IQ, which is where you can record and rewind live tv. Most people in the US have probably had this for ages, but we've just gotten it ( Read more... )
