[Gilbert is having a bad day. The video feed turns on to him fiddling with the buttons on the side of the communicator. The picture winks in and out off an don for a few minutes. His face reappears, looking hopeful. And then, then the video lurches, showing a spinning view of the ceiling. In the background, a loud THUD can be heard, followed by a

[Naoki's opening up the front door about the same time as that thud comes from the kitchen. He has a couple of books yoinked from the library in his arms. And maybe your luck is taking a turn, Gilbert, because by the time Naoki pops his head into the kitchen, Gilbert is finished his little secret broadcast.]

Love? [Spotting those bandaids.] Ah-- Are you okay? [He lays the books to the side, striding toward him.]

[Naoki grins at him then; Gilbert should recognise all too well the teasing edge to it.] Your hero, [he echoes, amused.] I'll always be there to catch you, darling. [All right, he's just going to do it--he dips into a little bow to him.]

[Gilbert recognizes that expression all right. He blinks a bit at the bow, blushing a bit despite himself, even as his shoulders shake slightly in laughter.] So gallant, my love. [He lifted his free hand to make a little show out of fanning himself. Be still his heart.]

[Naoki winks up at him as he straightens, absently smoothing his hands up along Gilbert's arms.] All for you. [He leans up to kiss his cheek, lingering there.]

[Gilbert laughed quietly, turning to press a kiss to Naoki's cheek in turn.] All for me? How did I get so lucky? [He shifts a bit closer, or tries to. But he fails halfway through and stumbles more or less into Naoki.]

Mmf-- [Naoki catches him about the waist, supporting his weight easily, then chuckles. Amused, he says,] How did I get so lucky to have you falling for me all the time? [Heh heh. Get it?]

[Gilbert blinks a bit and peeks up from where his face landed mostly against Naoki's chest. He blinks at that though, shutting his eyes and laughing.] That was really, really bad, love. [He's impressed.]

[Naoki blushes darkly.] I--it was, huh? [He grins sheepishly and ruffles a hand through Gilbert's hair.] I thought it fit.

[loyalraven]

[Gilbert shuts his eyes briefly at the hair ruffling, shoulders shaking in a bit of a laugh again.] It did. Very appropriate.

Well, good. [Still blushing a bit, Naoki grins at him.] Least it had something going for it.

[Another laugh and Gilbert manages to find his feet under him solidly again. This doesn't have him moving away from Naoki though. He's still lingering close, hand lifting to settle atop his husband's chest lightly, fingers moving over skin absently.] Quite a bit going for it, I'd say. You said it after all.

[Oh. Naoki pauses at the touch of fingers over skin, looks down at Gilbert's hand.] Heh, really? [He's gone red again.] You're being sweet again.

[Gilbert's hand isn't moving, fingers still drifting along, just a bit fascinated by the feel of the warm skin beneath them.] am I? Oops. [Not that he sounds all that dismayed, mind.]

"Oops", he says, [Naoki mumbles it, feigning exasperation. He shifts closer, his hand lifting to cover Gilbert's.]

[loyalraven]

[Gilbert laughs a little at that, turning his hand to catch Naoki's gently, though not moving away from resting against his chest.]

Mm. [Smiling at the touch, he leans in a little.] What have you been up to today, besides, ah...well. [G-getting injured.]
