[202 would know the voice behind those ragged gasps anywhere, even without her attention being drawn to their source by the sound of rushing waters emitting unexpectedly from her communicator. Glancing down at it, she spares barely enough time to register what she's seeing--And surely she can't be seeing that, he must just be stained by the river water--before piecing together what it means, and where she needs to go. Abandoning her post at the cathedral and her communicator there with it, she runs.
It's not a long haul to the river's edge and she makes it there in record time, wading into the waters without a second thought to try and retrieve the broken remains she still can't quite believe she's seeing.]
[He runs the back of his hand over his forehead, but his smile, though somewhat neutral, still holds now that he sees that healing magic's doing something at least.]
That may be, but we don't got a whole lot of options here.
[He frowns, listening to Switzerland's breathing.] Can you turn him on his side?
One more time. Hang in there, Vash! [Taking a deep breath himself, Sieg lifts his hand again, invoking the Mark of the Stars once more. There's definitely a strain he's started to feel, and he doesn't want to worry 202 any more than she already obviously is. He feels he can manage this at least, though he'll probably want to sit down after it.]
[202 moves promptly to comply, one arm moving to tuck under Vash's shoulder and roll him towards her as the other smooths tenderly over his bloodstained hair.
She watches as Sieg invokes his talent once again, her expression equal parts fascination and concern for what it seems to be costing him to do such work.]
[Sieg nods a thanks at 202, but his focus remains mainly upon Vash. Just a little more, he tells himself. Gradually the light fades, and the boy slowly sinks to his knees beside the bed.]
[202 is quick to acknowledge both Vash's ease and Sieg's fatigue, moving quickly from one form to the other and slipping her arm around her friend's shoulders to help him to a seat atop another nearby gurney.]
You've overtaxed yourself, Sieg... please, rest a little. You've done more than I could have asked of you.
[At least Vash seems much better than he'd looked when Sieg had gotten there. That's enough to prompt a weak smile from the boy. He looks over at 202, mumbling a thanks as she helps him to his feet long enough to move to where he can sit down. Well, he won't argue taking a rest after that.]
Guess you could call it like magic. Kind of a long story, but basically, it all started when me and my friends found this old book, and when we touched it, we were given these powers, I guess. We found out that they were called the Marks of the Stars, and that the ones that could access that power were called Star Bearers.

That's really quite remarkable, Sieg. You're really quite remarkable.

Like I said, I just do what I can, an' it'd be pointless not to do anything with the things I've been given to use.
