[ The sky was only cloudy today, but it seemed fitting, really.

The clouds let rays of light filter through, like the strings of programming let hopeful thoughts come into the forefront of his attention. One one hand, Theta was a dear friend of his, and wanted him to come along and live happily with the two of them. He would belong with people, and ( Read more... )

You are a machine? Goodness, could have fooled me. [though his voice does have a bit of a mechanical tone to it.]

Hai, I was made by Crypton Future Media.

The program has had a number of updates to help make me sound more human, but it takes effort to do so. [ The voice he normally speaks with

[ W-well..at least someone enjoyed his singing! He..was beyond embarrassed now. He didn't expect anyone to listen to his musings, but..then someone enjoyed it, so..

... so..? Some good came out of it? ] H-hai.. [ He flushed with an meek grin, nodding. ] I know more songs, if you're that interested..?

[ Sheepish smile before letting it break into a playful grin. After thee initial shock of being caught off guard in a moment he thought he had to himself, he eased right into performing very easily. He did love to sing as much as Miku, after all.

Again, he typed up the lyrics to be polite and help France understand just what he was singing about, but it wasn't the slightest problem for a machine such as himself. They scrolled as he sang, translating the lines in time as music played from speakers wired into his jacket. ]

[[The odd, jilted melody reminds her of home. She closes her eyes, swaying softly with it. It sounds so desperately sad, though. Did her offer trouble him that much? Theta doesn't answer his accidental posting, but she sighs and sits in her workshop, a little bit distracted, a little bit melancholy. She plays his post again from the beginning a few times, and begins sketching, for once not designs for clockworks, but herself, Grell, England, and Kaito, dressed for rain and carrying umbrellas, laughing and playing in a gentle rain. She leaves the notebook open to that drawing and goes upstairs.]]

[ The thought actually had troubled the VOCALOID, but at the same time the offer made him happy. He liked having somewhere to belong and go to a comfortable place where he was happy with people he loved and wanted to be around, people he wanted to make happy.

But he realized he was only a machine, and that he had responsibilities and obligations to other people as such. He should be an example. He would be getting a lot of people in a lot of trouble by staying missing, because once he left Ruby City, time would resume in his world and police would look for him--law suits, bad publicity for YAMAHA and Crypton Future Media for 'misplacing' something so valuable.

He did not want to worry Theta or Grell though, or make them put their wants and needs and dreams on hold because he didn't know what he should do. The picture would be something he'd like to see though, it sounded so cute and adorable. ]

[[The picture is there on the worktable, plain as day whenever he gets back into the shop. Theta usually leaves her notebook closed, so it's certainly unusual to see it open if she's not going to be returning shortly. It's definitely shut down for the night, though--Theta is upstairs humming to herself, as she does when she's getting ready for bed.

The picture itself is in her usual style, that is, it looks more like a diagram than a work of art, but part of ergaleomancy is being a craftsman, and part of that is being able to plan one's work. She's not a bad artist, simply a very mechanically inclined one. The proportions are perfect, she would accept nothing less of herself. But the expressions on their faces were idealised--so carefree, so happy.]]

[It's things like this that remind Dulce of why he adores humans so. Music is one of his favorite things humans have made. Music, art, humor, love, and irrigation. All wonderful.]

That was splendid.

I'm..glad you enjoyed it. [ With a sheepish grin and a tilt of his head, he responded to the praise from the..organic(?)...thing. ] I know other songs, if you're ever interested.

If I could ever trouble you for another? Your style is much different from what I have heard in my homeland.

[ Chuckles. ]

They do! There's so many of them, too. I hope I can do something nice for Kaito's fans to pay them back for all the songs they wrote for us--aa, you know, I heard Gakupo-san's seiyuu had a contest some time back for his fans. The best song would be featured on an album of his and the winner got a lot of money.
