[The first thing that might've clued people are the city in were the sapphire blue snakes, more specifically king cobras, that might be seen around town. If approached the snakes disappear in wisps of smoke or vanish into cracks much smaller than they should be able to fit.

But resting in a large tree near the forest you'll be able to find Anko

[[And then there is Theta, in her workshop full of clockworks and gears. One of her legs is a mahogany and brass replacement. She is unsteady on it, but nonetheless she has a broom and is trying to shoo a snake out of her workshop. She takes a few very dangerous swipes at it with her broom. Some of the clockworks seem to be alive and are cowering back in fear from it, despite being in display cases.]]

[After a few swipes the snake makes a feint strike before disappearing down a crack in the flooring no bigger than half an inch wide and reappearing on the opposite side of the room, climbing onto of a bookshelf to watch.]

[[Theta smirks when it disappears into the floor, and turns around to go back to work. And she catches sight of it. She yelps and goes to get a long-handled duster to try to chase it off the bookshelf with.]]

[Hisses and strikes at the duster before slithering off of the shelf and closer to her along the floor getting a good look around the room before coiling up on the floor. It looks almost smug, as smug as a snake can look before vanishing in a poof of smoke.]

The fairy flits over and lands, fearlessly, on Anko's shoulder, his head tilted.]

[She takes a moment and looks at the little guy, the snake raising its head so one luminous yellow eye is level with foster.]

A redcap, interesting.

[It is now, in the proximity of this human, that Foster realizes he has a Hungry, and needs to get rid of it. He looks over at Anko contemplatively, forgetting the snake.]

[Steve lets out a low warning hiss, still watching the redcap. Meanwhile Anko is interested in it, having never seen such a creature before. She reaches out and pokes Foster.]

[Stray loves these things. She would eat them, if she could bring herself to, but the rich blue of their scales reminds her of water as they slither. The way they can disappear is intriguing too, and some part of the saner bits of Stray's mind realizes that they must be serving some higher purpose than her amusement. She's been tracking them, mostly out of boredom, and is startled to see their larger counterpart resting its great head on a girl's lap.

She steps forward from her shadowy hiding place, tail bushed and ears flat against her skull. Her claws are unsheathed and there's a decidedly predatory feel about her movements. There's no fear in her mind of the massive reptile, just a concern for the smaller fleshy thing beside it.]

[Anko looks down and links a moment, not quite sure what she's looking at before her snake raises its head to lets out a low warning hiss. He doesn't trust anyone outside of Anko and everything is a threat to him, she merely runs her hand over the smooth scales to calm him that the creature isn't a threat.]

[Stray's claws re-sheath as she realizes that the massive snake isn't trying to hurt the girl, but protect her. Reminded of her own reptilian guardian from when she was younger, Stray gives it a small smile before turning her attention to the question.]

[As usual Ayame's found in his shop, fixing the arrangement of some things before placing a few plush items he's recently sewed.]

There! ...hmm?

[He blinks- was that movement just now..?]

[He might notice a bright blue tail sticking out from behind one of his plushies before it moves and a bright blue snake head appears over the top of one of the toys. It stays frozen, watching him and trying to blend in with the other brightly coloured plush.]

[Nice try, but Ayame knows what he sews, and even if it is a little cute, the Sohma snake knows he definitely hasn't sewn a plush one recently.

He arches a brow, then slowly holds a hand out.]

((OOC: As part of the Sohma family, Ayame's cursed by the zodiac of the snake. Most of the time when the other Sohmas are around their pertaining animal, they tend to get along with them pretty well/attract them. Your call though! I don't know if these are normal snakes either so...! :D))

[The snake freezes then after a moment leans forward and rests its head against Ayame's hand. It's forked tongue flicks out for a moment before a low hiss can be heard forming words.]

[OOC: I love fruits basket! and Yes, I know all about Ayame <3 He's so wonderful~ The Snakes though,they're more human than most snakes because they aren't 100% animal being ninja summons they're usually above average intelligence and can usually talk.]
