[The first thing that might've clued people are the city in were the sapphire blue snakes, more specifically king cobras, that might be seen around town. If approached the snakes disappear in wisps of smoke or vanish into cracks much smaller than they should be able to fit.
But resting in a large tree near the forest you'll be able to find Anko chatting quietly with a 30 foot cobra of the same colour that has a head the size of a small microwave. It seems content to stay and rest it's head in her lap with its coils wrapped through the boughs of the sturdy tree.
Anko's out collecting information on what exactly was going on around the city and if someone happens to try to kill one of her snakes she will not be happy and will track said person down, unless you feel like coming forward to tell her~]
The people here are interesting, but not many seem to know what is going on. Let's hope the serpents that went looking for the nations will return with a bit more information for me, eh Steve?
