Scott Pilgrim Vs. Himself..? [VIDEO]

[Scott had been running away from the apartment building for what seemed like hours. In one hand he now clasped his opened communicator, looking to it every once in a while as he tried to keep up a hastened pace.]

"MORRIGAN! VASH! TAVROS! ANGRY SCOTTISH DUDE! CELTY! GRELL! GORO! CRAZY PONY THAT CAN TALK! JOHN AND HIS SIS! I KNOW I'VE.. ONLY KNOWN

H- Hey! [Goro watches the video and then glares at it, his voice ringing from the watch loudly.] Keep away from him!

[Goro jumps back as Nega Scott attacks, watching as Scott is slammed into the ground. She does look like the picture of vulnerability, really. It's like every shoujo manga heroine, but without as many sparkles and flower petals. Goro cowers and then looks confused at the question.] "Do I like..?"

[Realizing what he asked, Goro's cheeks go bright pink, takes a breath and straightens up. The cowering's gone and when she speaks, her voice is her actual voice- a teenage boy's.]

"You don't need to know that! Now get away from him!"

[The shadow plumes towards Goro without hesitation, seeming to be un-phased by Goro's words. A hand reaches out, hoping to clutch the "romper" by the throat, if able. Cackling even more now, Nega Scott's teeth are now much closer to Goro's view than perhaps he'd care for.]

"SCOTT.. WHAT SCOTT WANTS.. WE SHALL HAVE! BOY OR GIRL.. GIRL OR BOY.. MATTERS NOT! SCOTT LIKES YOU.. YES, VERY MUCH! HE DREAM.. SCOTT.. US.. WE DREAM ABOUT YOU! WE'LL DO WHAT WE LIKE, TOSS YOU ASIDE, AND THEN.. THEN SCOTT.. WHAT HE CAN'T HAVE, WE'LL RAVAGE AND USE AS WE LIKE!!"

[Grabbed, Goro turns his head away from Nega Scott's face, not wanting to see him. But the words hit and hit well. Goro listens and then looks towards him.]

"You're wrong! He wouldn't hurt someone like that!"

[Clutching Goro by the throat, Nega Scott's free hand plays with a few loose strands of her hair, flicking and tugging at them between its fingers.]

"No.. Scott wouldn't harm a girl, at least not physically, if he can help it. That's why I exist. I exist because of what Scott cannot and will not do. He's had a few nights wondering what you might look like, bare before him, just the two of you.. Stupid fuck gets sentimental about it. He can't help it, he loves girls.

If he found out what you really were, how do you think he'd handle it? Do you think a prick like him would stick around? Maybe even LOVE you?"

[The grip tightens, squeezing a sum of air from Goro's breath out into the open air.]

"Beg. Say his name. Let us hear how badly you want Scott, for him to save you, for him to be your hero. I want to ENJOY EVERY LAST LINGERING WORD! CRY OUT, GORO-CHAN! "SCOTT! PLEASE! SAVE ME! I'M SO WEAK WITHOUT YOU!" HAH HA! GET ME OFF YOU FUCKED UP FREAK!"

[Goro struggles, although Nega Scott's grip is pretty tight. His eyes narrow as he's told to beg.]

"If.. he found out, then I would be okay with whatever he reacted with! That's what you do with friends, you accept their reactions and don't make them feel weird for having them!"

[Goro's eyes dim, the struggling really not helping the idea of breathing at a steady pace.] "I'm not.. going to beg. Or get you off. You think-"

[Goro swings his left leg at Nega Scott suddenly, aiming for wherever he can land] "Do you think I can't fight?!"

[Wincing, the kick connects with Nega Scott's stomach. Though made mostly of smoke and imagination, Nega Scott had some vitals. The gut was one of those vital spots.

Cringing, the shadow released Goro, dropping him as it stumbled back and clutched its stomach in pain.]

"No.. *COUGH COUGH* I don't think you.. You stand a chance.."

[Regaining its posture, Nega Scott straightens up and clenches a fist, bringing it back for a swing.]

"Lights out, lil' angel. Time to put you to sleep."

[Landing on the ground, Goro takes several breaths.]

"But he does."

[That quickly fired back retort costs him, though, and Goro doesn't have time to block the punch. Taking it, he collapses, unconscious.]

[Drawing back its fist slowly, it looks down at its reward. Though the kick still made it tinge with pain, the shadow was very pleasure with the results. Bending down, it reached out both arms to begin to scoop the young prey into its grasp

[After a few moments, Goro started to come to. Wincing in pain, he opened his eyes and rubbed at where the punch had landed. Sitting up he shook his head slowly.] "...That really hurt! Where's..?"

[Remembering that he had been in the middle of a fight, Goro looked around for Nega Scott, eyes finally focusing as heard and saw Scott. Standing up, he hung back and watched, ready to jump in if needed.]

[His punches cease immediately, a lone hand stationed at the throat of the shadow. For the first time in his life, Scott saw fear in another's eyes. Cocking his free hand back, the fist began to glow with an unnatural blue light.]

"My name is Scott Pilgrim.. You hurt Goro.. Prepare to die!'

[Channeling every inch of "Princess Bride" love in his body, and the spirit of Ingio Montoya, Scott sent the glowing fist straight into the chin of the shadow. There's a terrific earthquake before the shadow is launched high into the air from the uppercut, disappearing far into the atmosphere and the night sky.

Scott, still holding the punch above his head to full extension, drops to his knees and collapses in exhaustion.]

[Goro blinks.] "Hey that's from that-"

[Before that sentence can fully get out of his head, Goro watches as the shadow goes flying.] "Woah.. H- Hey!" [Running over to him, Goro tries to catch him and fails. Crouching, he puts one of his arms around Scott's shoulders and begins to ease him up. When he speaks again, it's in his mistaken-for-a-girl voice. With everything that's happened, that revelation could come later.] "Come on, you can't sleep here. The ground's not good for you! That was so cool!"

[Scott's body shivers for a few moments before settling. Letting out a long breath of air, he opens his eyes to look up at Goro.]

"Cool..?"

[His eyes close once again, as a great, wide grin graces his lips.]

"Yeah.. Cool.. Lookin' cool in front of a cute girl."

[And Scott is now out cold.]

[Goro straightens up, making sure he's got a good grip on Scott's shoulders. Making his way slowly from the cathedral area, Goro smiles.] "Come on, we don't need to stay here."

[Glancing over his shoulder quickly, in case anything was going to come at them, Goro exhales and keeps walking.] "I'll explain everything later." [Goro thinks, keeping an eye on Scott as he moves.]

[There are no further disturbances. The shadow which had assaulted them has now since vanished from the area, with no sign of returning.

Scott is still unconscious, not in a dangerous sort of course, just passed out from exhaustion.]

[And roughly half an hour later, Goro reaches his apartment. Unlocking the door, he heads inside. Saying a quick hello to Toge, Goro walks Scott to the couch and lies him onto it before he double checks that the window curtians are pulled. The mirrors in the room have been removed and put away in a spare closet.]

"Okay.. And we're safe."

[Going into the kitchen and turning on the overhead light, Goro puts on some water for tea and waits for it to boil. Pouring some food into Toge's bowl and getting him fresh water, Goro then goes into his room, pulling the comforter from his bed.]

"This should work. It's pretty warm."

[Returning to the living room, Goro drapes it over Scott and sits in a nearby chair, watching him.]
