[Scott had been running away from the apartment building for what seemed like hours. In one hand he now clasped his opened communicator, looking to it every once in a while as he tried to keep up a hastened pace.]
"MORRIGAN! VASH! TAVROS! ANGRY SCOTTISH DUDE! CELTY! GRELL! GORO! CRAZY PONY THAT CAN TALK! JOHN AND HIS SIS! I KNOW I'VE.. ONLY KNOWN

That is, until something clutched the back of its head.
As if ripping off a band-aid, the shadow was peeling away from Goro and sent flying into a nearby structure. Slamming against a large statue of an archangel, the shadow let out a gasp of air as it connected.
Not wasting another moment, Scott Pilgrim raised to the balls of his feet and flew towards his shadow. Fists out, Scott met everything which he hated with a flurry of punches that seemed never ending. A deathly combo, unlike any he had ever performed before, slammed into the stomach of his opponent.
Scott's eyes began to tear, his fists beginning to bleed as they sunk into the shadow's form. Scott felt as if his arms were going to break, but it didn't matter. The sounds of snapping and tearing rang in his ears, but fell deaf as his voice cried out in anger. He watched as Nega Scott's body began to fold in half, its eyes bulging from their dark sockets, its mouth hanging open as if it were going to wretch.
And so Scott continued on with his assault, his voice carrying high over the cathedral, crying out in a whirlwind of release and contempt.]

[Remembering that he had been in the middle of a fight, Goro looked around for Nega Scott, eyes finally focusing as heard and saw Scott. Standing up, he hung back and watched, ready to jump in if needed.]

"My name is Scott Pilgrim.. You hurt Goro.. Prepare to die!'
[Channeling every inch of "Princess Bride" love in his body, and the spirit of Ingio Montoya, Scott sent the glowing fist straight into the chin of the shadow. There's a terrific earthquake before the shadow is launched high into the air from the uppercut, disappearing far into the atmosphere and the night sky.
Scott, still holding the punch above his head to full extension, drops to his knees and collapses in exhaustion.]

[Before that sentence can fully get out of his head, Goro watches as the shadow goes flying.] "Woah.. H- Hey!" [Running over to him, Goro tries to catch him and fails. Crouching, he puts one of his arms around Scott's shoulders and begins to ease him up. When he speaks again, it's in his mistaken-for-a-girl voice. With everything that's happened, that revelation could come later.] "Come on, you can't sleep here. The ground's not good for you! That was so cool!"
Reply
"Cool..?"
[His eyes close once again, as a great, wide grin graces his lips.]
"Yeah.. Cool.. Lookin' cool in front of a cute girl."
[And Scott is now out cold.]
Reply
[Glancing over his shoulder quickly, in case anything was going to come at them, Goro exhales and keeps walking.] "I'll explain everything later." [Goro thinks, keeping an eye on Scott as he moves.]

Scott is still unconscious, not in a dangerous sort of course, just passed out from exhaustion.]
Reply
"Okay.. And we're safe."
[Going into the kitchen and turning on the overhead light, Goro puts on some water for tea and waits for it to boil. Pouring some food into Toge's bowl and getting him fresh water, Goro then goes into his room, pulling the comforter from his bed.]
"This should work. It's pretty warm."
[Returning to the living room, Goro drapes it over Scott and sits in a nearby chair, watching him.]

Nega Scott was gone.
His fists still ached.
Goro.]
"GORO!"
[Scott sat up as straight as an arrow, his eyes looking about the room with confusion. The covers flying off of him, Scott could see that his hands were still wounded. Noting the chair across from him, he sees Goro and lets out a long sigh of relief.]
"S-Sorry.. How.. How did we get here?"

[Toge barks at the noise and trots towards Scott, looking at him curiously]
"This is my dog, Toge. Toge, be good. Scott was just in a big fight."
[The dog seems to understand, curling up on the floor near the couch.]
Reply
[Scott looks down at the dog, beaming softly as he winces slightly in pain.]
"Nice.. dog. Oh man.. I feel like I got hit by a sack of bricks.."
[Laying back down on the couch, Scott holds a hand to his chest, coughing slightly.]
"I'm glad you're okay though.. Couldn't stand a girl.. being attacked like that."
Reply
"Mhm. He didn't hurt me that much. The punch hurt, though." [But even that wasn't hurting as much as it had.] "I'm making some tea, and if you're hungry I can make something to eat."
Reply
"You don't have to go through the trouble.. I'm just glad you're okay."
[Scott was content with himself. He'd saved a girl. A girl... Hmm. Yes, a girl.]

[Goro waves his hand dismissively. Hearing the tea kettle start to whistle, Goro heads into the kitchen and prepares two cups of earl grey. Carrying them both back into the living room, he sets one onto the coffee table and holds onto the other.]
"You don't have to drink it right now."
Reply
"Thanks.. I really man it. Sorry to.. Make you have to carry me."
