[With a sigh Roxas found himself once more staring up into the afternoon sky, just staring as he watched for what seemed the hundredth time as the brighter oranges slowly bled into a deep violet at the edge of the horizon. The past week or so had just felt like a step back from any of the progress he'd been making as far settling in since arriving

Wandering by a house, she had a horrific flashback to when Holland thought he was some kind of bird that could take a leap of faith off the house only to land face first in the slush of snow. Thank goodness Roxas didn't seem like that stoner type.
But she is a bit worried as she glances up and offers a small wave.] What are you doing up there?

Smiling as he came up to her, she offers a small wave in return.]
Does the high ground tend to make it easier to think? Seems people always escape to high up places in order to clear their heads. [Gives a playful shrug, obviously teasing.]
I'm just ah- wandering to be honest. The city seems a little boring now that all is safe but- I'd much rather have it this way than before.

So when she comments further, he nods understandingly. He knew that sentiment well enough in the last city he'd lived in, but getting the situation they'd just had here without any apparent warning...
Well, no sense in complaining about what's happened, he figures.]
Yeah, I know what you mean. Oh! Uh, I don't think I caught your name when I ran into you. [A sheepish laugh as he offers a hand to shake.] I'm Roxas.

His path carried him toward the clock tower, his hands in his pockets, his eyes scanning--back and forth--mind in other places. Distracted but alert. Alert enough to notice someone sitting on a roof and he squinted his eyes slightly as he gazed up, shading his eyes slightly with one hand. He couldn't make out distinctive features yet, but--]
Afternoon!

With that in mind, he sighed to himself a little as he clamored to his feet and walked to the edge of the roof and waved back.]
Uh, hi!

He tilted his head.]
Roxas?

Curiosity getting the better of him, he jumped from the roof, landing neatly in a crouch as he tilted his head and walked toward the stranger.]
Do I know you?

Conan's currently on the roof to take down their now dry laundry for Ran, not easy task for someone his height, especially when the wind has a tendency to blow the sheets around him. He's just managed to free himself from one sheet and wrestle it into the laundry basket, when he happens to glance across the roof to the next building, realise he's got company.]
Ah -- Roxas-niisan?

So imagine his surprise when he looks over to the next building and sees Conan and a line of laundry. Honestly, he really wanted to know what the odds were.
With an inward sigh to himself, he decided that he really couldn't just be this way forever. Thinking about it like that, even he didn't think he'd be that pleased with a notion like that.
Still, he couldn't really help feeling and probably looking fairly surprised with this development.]
Conan? What're you doing over there?

[Conan punctuates his sentence by hauling down a pair of jeans.]
You, Roxas-niisan?

So, is that your place over there?

Kaata is the first to spot the blond-haired Nobody, and he eagerly waves the others to attention. ~Look!~]
Hm? Oh, Roxas!

It was about then that he heard a familiar voice call his name as he stood up and looked down to ground level to get his answer. Yup, that background noise was the sound of dragonlings that he'd heard in the background when talking with Maciel during his first serious incident in the city.
Not thinking that it'd be fair to sulk when he had company, he puts on a smile before waving down.]
Hey Maciel! Out with your friends today?
Reply
Maciel smiles back, giving a nod.]
Mmhm! We're going to the market. -but it's good to see you, Roxas! How are you?

I've been better. I guess I've been kind of sulking around for a little while... uhm, would you guys want some company?

Though for what it was worth, their current situation jarred another almost-forgotten feeling; as if a faint part of him was finding something about this moment almost laughably ironic. It was just a feeling though.
So after just a moment of quiet after she finished, he finally composed his thoughts enough to speak to her.]
Sorry about that, I haven't been really social the past few days.
[His voice was a little more subdued than usual, her either inability or refusal to even look at him not being a detail ( ... )
