[So at this point in time, Gilbert has realized that expecting anyone to recognize him by voice while he's much younger than he should be isn't going to happen. And well, even with the additional video, well, that helps a little. So he's eying the video feed warily. Housemates and guests? He's in the kitchen at the table, a forgotten cup of tea

[Yeah, Naoki walked by the kitchen just in time to witness this (he'd been feeding the fish~) and blink blinks a couple of times. Then walks inside and over to peer down at him.]

[Gilbert already fell off one chair today, he's probably reached his quota. But he manages to pull out a fancy little tin with assorted candies in it. Treasure! Ha! ...really, there's no Break here to hide these from, so goodness only knows why he feels the need to stash them. But he holds the tin out triumphantly, realizing that Naoki is closer now. Oh... are you being concerned and protective? Because that gives him the warm fuzzies.]

[Naoki pinkens just slightly and takes the tin from him, avoiding his eyes for a moment, shyly. Why yes, he was being all concerned and protective. It's rather in Naoki's nature, you know. He scoots back to the tea, nudging a cup across the counter in his direction.]

[Warm. Fuzzies. Gilbert hops down from the chair, putting it back before happily taking up his teacup and looking around for the sugar. Hmm. Sugar sugar sugar... aha! There. He takes a few teaspoons for himself before holding it out to see if Naoki wants to use it.]

[Blink.] Oh--thank you. [Extending hands to take it. If their fingers brush, don't mind that he's going to fidget before putting together his tea properly.] Um...let's go sit in the living room. S'more comfortable. [He shifts the tin to hold in one hand, his cup in the other.]

[Of course their fingers brush. And it makes Gilbert turn pink -- and he'd been doing so well, really. SO WELL. But, he nods, picking up his teacup carefully.] Ah, all right. [A nod. Living room does sound comfier. So he'll be following Naoki along to the living room.]

[It's okay, Gil--Naoki's blush has almost become a permanent fixture on his face by now. Though it's smaller, just a slight tinge of pink. Apparently he's very easily flustered as he is now. He settles on the couch, sets the cup on the table and then pats the spot next to him, then going about opening the tin as he sets it in his lap.] This hasn't been-- [Tuuuuug.] --too hard, has it? Like this. I mean...s'been hard reaching stuff still but...I'm sure we'll be back to the usual soon.

[Gilbert takes the seat indicated, plopping himself down quite close to Naoki. He sets his teacup down as well, leaning back and watching Naoki try to open the tin. He tilts his head slightly at the question.] Mm. [A shake of his head.] It hasn't been too bad. [A little confusing sometimes. He's aware he's reacting to things a bit differently than he normally would. But it's not bad. He sort of shifts a bit closer and leans to rest his head against Naoki's shoulder.] I hope you're right though. I think I'm ready to be back to normal.

Uh-huh...not as bad as I thought. [Confusing is right--he knows he's letting how he was, emotionally and everything, guide how he reacts, but can't seem to help it. Naoki gets that tin open just as he feels that head on his shoulder. He blinks, looks over at him and then sets the lid of the tin aside with one hand, moving that hand up to run fingers through the hair at the back of Gilbert's head.] 'Course I'm right...and I'll be glad to be back to normal, too. Miss being able to do things the usual way. [Like reach places without a chair. He really misses that.]

[Not as bad. And really, they've been lucky that nothing worse than this happened. Not that Gilbert is trying to think in terms of the worst-case scenario. But he's thought enough to count himself lucky in this instance. He nods a bit, eyes closing just slightly at the touch through his hair.] Yeah, I do too.

[Naoki just continues to run fingers through Gilbert's hair while picking through the tin with his other hand to choose a piece of candy. He snuggles quietly into him as he pops it into his mouth, looking thoughtful before offering him a piece.]

[So Gilbert is comfortable and not too keen on going anywhere, so he hopes you're comfy too, Naoki. However, he will peer into the tin and pick out a piece of candy for himself. He's happy about this too. Yup. He wants to be back to normal, but things could be worse than they are right now. He twirls the little piece of candy between his fingers before popping it in his mouth. Seriously, though, the petting? Means he has no motivation to move.]

[It's okay, Naoki's really very comfy himself right now. Gilbert's warm and this is peaceful, even with no talking between them. Gilbert's apparently a placating presence. So he just continues that idle hair-petting, leaned close and content. Even prepared to drift off.]

[Drifting off? Yeah Gilbert can get behind that. It's not that he's entirely clingy at this age so much that he's aware that he's better with other people in general. Also Naoki makes a pretty good pillow. So yeah, don't mind him drifting about now. He regrets nothing.]
