[So at this point in time, Gilbert has realized that expecting anyone to recognize him by voice while he's much younger than he should be isn't going to happen. And well, even with the additional video, well, that helps a little. So he's eying the video feed warily. Housemates and guests? He's in the kitchen at the table, a forgotten cup of tea

[Yeah, Naoki walked by the kitchen just in time to witness this (he'd been feeding the fish~) and blink blinks a couple of times. Then walks inside and over to peer down at him.]

...are you okay?

It's not... I'm... I just might as well, since I'm making some anyway... [It's a pretty weak protest. It's remarkably hard to keep up his usual tsun. He cozies back against him a little more and yeah. Pretty relaxed right about now.]

Ah, I guess that's true. [Gilbert laughs quietly, though considering his voice, his laughter at this age tends to sound more like giggling than he'd particularly care to admit. He tightens his arms around Naoki's shoulders just a little before musing.] I probably should get out of your way.

[Either way, it's a cute sound, and Naoki likes hearing it.] Ah, you...it's fine. There's no rush. Kettle's not going anywhere. [He turns his head just slightly to glance over his shoulder at his face.]

[Gilbert tilts his head just a little at the words before laughing quietly again.] I guess that's a pretty good point. It won't. And it's not like there's a rush. [Which is nice. When Naoki turns his head, Gilbert offers him a quiet little smile, and he shifts enough to mimic Naoki's action earlier, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek.]

[Naoki had been going to say something, but that kiss stops the words in their tracks and sets him on board the flustering train, a few tiny incoherent noises slipping out. He goes bright red (to his ears, even) and turns his head to look forward again, lifting a hand to cover his cheek and that spot with a palm.]

[Oh dear god that's adorable, Naoki. Gilbert can't even handle it. There's a smile on his face though, and it's probably not going anywhere. Because really, even though he realizes that they aren't quite acting themselves in all of this, it's working out well enough anyway. The affection is still there. He takes a step back, unwinding his arms from Naoki's shoulders finally, and it's his turn to ruffle at his hair lightly.]

[Oh, the affection is indeed there--strong as ever--but it is a little different, when they're affected by these forms, these bodies. Though Naoki gives a low noise of protest as his hair is ruffled. But there, perhaps finally, is a small, soft smile, lingering over his mouth.]

[Gilbert lets his hand fall away from Naoki's hair -- after lingering juuuust a moment despite the protest -- and steps around aside of him to get a better glimpse of his face, and he's glad he did. He wouldn't have wanted to miss that smile, little though it might be. It makes Gilbert kind of beam in return, leaning against the counter.]

[Naoki clears his throat softly after he notices that beaming, glancing to the side, embarrassed. He's happy, though. Content. And it's obvious in how the smile lingers a bit, ready to come back again at a moment's notice.] Mm. I'll make the tea now. Want anything else?

[Gilbert will behave and not say anything to make the embarrassment worse. Because Naoki was very nice earlier with not laughing at him for falling over. So he just shakes his head.] Mm-mm. Just tea sounds good.

[Yes, behave, Gil. Naoki's going to go about getting teacups and putting the kettle on to boil, fidgeting as he waits for it to do so. Shyly glancing over.] 'Kay, if you're sure.

[Gilbert wants to be good. It is his goal in life -- or well, was, when he was really this age. For once though, Gilbert's not really fidgeting. But he is doing a bit of quick, shy little glances too -- which at least part of him realizes is a bit silly, but still, it's kind of where he is right now.] Mm! But if you want something else we could get it. I think there are still some cookies. [Pause.] Oh, and there's candy in the back on the top shelf. [...what? He hid it for later use, that is all.]

[Naoki blinks at that latter part and--may be perking up just slightly.] Candy? [It's about now the kettle finishes boiling and he shifts to pour up the hot water in the cups and then sets it back to let the tea steep.] Shall I get it?

[Oh god they are kids, because Gilbert's kind of excited by the idea too. A nod.] Mmhmm! Behind the big bag of flour. [Hid it behind the boring thing; it was a good plan.] I can get it. You made the tea! [And so Gilbert goes to drag a chair over before climbing up on it carefully, reaching and trying to get to the back of the shelf without leaning too far. Hmm... feeling a bit blindly, but... a-ha! There!]

[Naoki craaaanes his neck a bit so he can look up at him, scooting closer to the chair. He wants to make sure that Gilbert won't accidentally fall or anything, after all.]
