[So at this point in time, Gilbert has realized that expecting anyone to recognize him by voice while he's much younger than he should be isn't going to happen. And well, even with the additional video, well, that helps a little. So he's eying the video feed warily. Housemates and guests? He's in the kitchen at the table, a forgotten cup of tea

Ah... Gilbert! [The reaction is of course, concerned, but tainted by an amused bit of laughter.] It's just your cat isn't it?

[There's a pause, and a mildly amused, but warm smile. This? Nostalgic.]

It's not funny! [This sulky little voice is coming from out of sight of the communicator, but slowly a pair of gold eyes appear over the edge of the table to peer at the video with a sigh.] It's not my cat... I just... feed it.

[Less bristling though, since Oz is smiling, and if his young master is happy, then Gilbert can't really fuss.]

[Sorry Gil, it's just a little funny. Especially when you look like that.] Sounds like it's your cat, Gilbert! I'm kind of proud of you!

[Not funny! ...oh fine. It's... a little bit too like old times, really, and for just a minute Gilbert is somewhat struck by a wave of nostalgia.] I don't want it to be though. I have to chase it out of the bedroom before I go to sleep... or I know it's there just waiting [A pause though and he blinks, before turning pink.] ...it's not something to be proud about!

[Oh man Gilbert hasn't even considered that option. All he knows is that earlier when he tried, he nearly choked himself to death. And once he claws himself up from where he's fallen, he'll look curiously at the face on the video screen and nod.] It's a little inconvenient all around, isn't it?

That's a long time. [He's righting the chair and then settling back in it so he can go back to leaning his arms on the table.] I mean, I tried to quit for a while. [But then there was a very stressful situation and he started again.] Does it make you cough now too?

[Yeah, Naoki walked by the kitchen just in time to witness this (he'd been feeding the fish~) and blink blinks a couple of times. Then walks inside and over to peer down at him.]

...are you okay?

[Gilbert is lying in a pile of failure on the floor when he hears Naoki's voice and finds himself peering up at him. Wide gold eyes blink a few times before he blushes. O-of course Naoki got to see him klutz out. Both hands lift to kind of hide his face, and he nods, still flat on the floor. Muffled:] I'm all right.

[...oh god one person should not be so freaking adorable excuse Naoki blushing and looking away, resisting the urge to cover his mouth to hide a smile that wants to form. Then he lowers into a crouch and takes Gilbert's wrists, lifting his hands away from his face before holding them in his.] Come on. Up you get.

[Oh, his clever hiding place is foiled. But he certainly doesn't resist his hands being moved. He's still blushing even as his fingers close around Naoki's and he first sits up and then goes to stand.] Th-thanks. The chair tipped over... 'cause the cat was here. [Oh so lame.]

[Well, that was certainly an interesting reaction. Naminé blinks, looking a bit concerned. Also, despite being so small right now and taking up most of the camera space with how she's holding it, there's a certain blond haired tail moving in and out of the feed.]

[When he pops up into the view of the video feed again, he's more than a little embarrassed looking.] Ah... hi Naminé.

[Forgive her, Gil, but she will actually start giggling a little when she sees your face. She doesn't mean to; call it the little girl in her that's making her do it. And that tail is still going in and out of the feed.]

[He considers pouting at it, and half does, but well, it won't last very long at all. Besides, he's a little distracted watching something moving on her screen.] Yeah, I'm all right. Just a little embarrassed. [Pause.] Hey, what's moving behind you?

[Gilbert cringes as much from the question as the fall, because oh man he needs to stop being a failure while in the midst of broadcasting to everyone. But, he climbs to his knees, just his eyes and above visible over the edge of the table. He nods though.] Ah... yeah. Th-the cat just... I'm fine.
