Another voice from back home? It was like the city was giving her gifts today. Who would be next? Maybe Leonard? She missed him, but hopefully he was back home with his little girl so it'd be best if he didn't return to the city. Of course, Jan probably should be worried about this turn of events but she was too happy that more of the Enterprise's crew has arrived to think too hard on that subject.

She flew to the train station, unable to fight back a grin as she spotted Spock. Slowly, she floated down to the street near him until her feet hovered a few centimeters off the ground. "Mr. Spock. Welcome to Ruby City!"

The sounds of his boots clicking on the concrete were, for awhile, the only sound to accompany Spock as he walked. He was starting to approximate the chances of being alone in this city when the sound of something moving through the air caught his attention. He came to a halt to look around, then noticed a girl draped in blue and red floating down towards him.

A familiar girl.

"Yeoman? Janice Rand?" He questioned, eyebrow arching up on his forehead.

"You remember me!" The words were accompanied by a mid-air bobble that was reminiscent of the way Jan would bounce on the balls of her feet when she was excited. "I was afraid you wouldn't know me."

Spock's eyebrow stayed right where it was on his forehead, watching Janice bob up and down in the air. "I would not forget a crew member - I thought you were on the away mission with the Captain while I was to be the acting Captain of the Enterprise." He looked around at his surroundings before focusing on her once more.

"I am not certain about the memory of a Human's, but the memory of a Vulcan would not allow us to forget a crew member's name, face, or rank within the confines of ten minutes, Yeoman."

"Yes, yes there is," came the response, and Theta stepped around a corner so it wasn't a disembodied voice. "Welcome to Ruby City, I'm afraid you're stuck here." Her smile was apologetic, and she didn't seem to be hiding any malice, just blunt and to the point. Another new arrival, another introduction speech to be given.

Spock stopped immediately in his tracks - he could not stop dead in his tracks since he was obviously still alive - and looked around for the owner of the voice. Thankfully it was not some sort of unseen being, but a woman that was unfamiliar to the Vulcan.

"Thank you for the welcome. I am Commander Spock, of the U.S.S Enterprise. I am afraid that I cannot be 'stuck' here, as I must be present on the ship with the Captain. It is, in fact, imperative that I return to it. Is there no way for me to return?" Perhaps this was like the incident on Triskelion where Captain Kirk, Lt. Uhura and Ensign Chekov had been teleported mysteriously away.

"You are stuck here, and no amount of complaining is going to magically undo that. This is a pocket dimension closed off from all known worlds and independent to the flow of time around it. Should our captors see fit to release you, you will be returned to the very split second you were taken from, but it could be years by the time here before they do."

Her tone was curt and businesslike, mostly because it was the only way she kept herself from screeching in rage at the entitled idiots who thought that denying their circumstances would somehow undo everything and return them to their homes.

"I am prepared to offer you assistance in finding lodgings and sustenance, as well as assistance in using the local communicator, if you're ready to accept reality instead of saying you can't be in the very circumstances you're in~."

Spock listened to the woman before him with all the attention that a Vulcan would give. Stuck? Pocket dimension? Independent time flow?

"Fascinating." Was all he said at first as he processed the information. "It is more out of curiosity's sake than anything, but do you have any information regarding as to how I was brought here?" Spock paused to glance around before focusing back on her. "Or how any of us were brought here, as I am presuming that the residents of this city - excluding the 'captors' you speak of - are 'natural' residents."

He placed his hands behind his back, standing at parade rest form. "The circumstances I am in are not logical, but certainly very real and unchangeable at the present moment."

The city could be so peaceful at times. Nothing like the bustling cities of her home, back there she could barely hear herself over the din. At times she liked to indulge in this peace, resting herself on a building, and letting her eyes slide shut. Simply enjoying the silence.

Her peace was interrupted by the sounds of footsteps, and Anya did what she could not to flinch. Her head lowered, and she drew her knees to her chest, hoping that the stranger would continue on and not harm her.

Spock continued to walk, hoping that he'd be able to find some sort of life on the way in this city. Something else caught his attention, faint but there... the sound of something dragging on the concrete.

Altering his direction three degrees, the Commander headed towards the source of the noise and stopped a few feet from it. A young girl was sitting on the street, with a lowered head and drawn up legs. The sound must've been from her pulling her knees up to her chest.

He closed some of the distance between the two of them and squatted down cautiously so he didn't alarm her. "Are you lost as well?" He asked her, watching her with that attentive gaze of his.

Anya peeks up at the man who addressed her, one eye a strange yellow, the other milky white, and useless. This man, with his stern face, and his uniform, scared her. Cowering into her knees, she shook her head.

"N-no..." She squeaks, her voice quiet, and meek. Curled up and scared, she looked almost like a stray dog, abused by one too many homes.

Her reaction was unexpected, but logical. He was a stranger to her, and not exactly Human looking. Thankfully his ears picked up what she said, despite it being muffled and quiet when spoken to her knees.

"Please, do not be frightened of me." Spock held up his hand in his customary salute. "I do not intend harm to anyone." He put his hand back down, keeping them to himself as he watched her. "If you are not lost, may I inquire as to why you are sitting against this wall on the road? I am not accustomed very well to the city, but I do not imagine this being a safe place."

Conan was milling around the station, taking a quick break from greeting the new arrivals to consider the odd things that had been happening. Nothing very big or serious, but -- odd.

Uncomfortable.

She was broken out of her thoughts by the sound of footsteps and a voice, and the child straightened up as she answered Spock's call. "There is! Quite a lot of us in fact."

If he could feel things like a regular Human and knew what she was thinking, Spock would've agreed with the uncomfortable sentiment. Instead, his own thoughts of wondering where the ship was, if anyone would notice if he was gone, when the voice interrupted them.

Left, right then his gaze settled on the voice's owner and he walked over. "There are residents in this city then. I find this fascinating, as I was not aware that the M-Class planet the ship was currently in orbit around had the advanced technology to teleport another being unwillingly."

"Chances are it probably doesn't." Conan put her hands in the pocket of her jacket as she replied. "This isn't your usual sort of teleporting -- we're brought here from different worlds, times and don't leave until our captors decide we do."

She paused. M-Class planet, ship, technology -- "Ne, are you from Starfleet?"

He blinked for a moment, watching the person before him. "Fascinating. Various worlds and times." Spock mulled over the thought for a moment, trying to piece together anything that would've indicated a flux in the readings at his Science station.

Instead, he was interrupted by her question. "Yes, I am Commander Spock of the U.S.S Enterprise."

Jim had been busy with his own communicator a little ways from the train, but when he heard that voice... He pocketed it and strode over. It was nice to know that he had another of his crew to help get everyone out of this place. "Spock!"

Spock straightened up when he heard the boots clicking on the pavement. Unsure what to expect, he relaxed a little bit when it turned out to be the Captain, a familiar sight in unfamiliar territory.

"Captain, I did not expect to see you here. I presumed you were on the away mission, and that I was to be acting captain for the ship."

"I didn't expect to see you here, either." Waaaaait a minute. "What away mission? We were just starting out."

Spock looked at him curiously. "Before I was whisked away to this place, I was acting captain on the ship, while you and Yeoman Janice Rand were going to the planet's surface on a away mission as commanded by Starfleet."
