Rufus found himself taking Christine's treatments early in the day - after all with less people around, it left him with less of a chance to be questioned about the whole thing. Most people had known that he was sick--Tifa had done well to inform them of that, he thought with a scoff.-- But only those inside of ShinRa really knew the extent of that ( ... )

"There were little fights and skirmishes about such things, but it was nothing to be scared over." He certainly would not of moved in a different direction, even now that he knew the end results, Rufus ShinRa made his own destiny.

Their walk had led them in the direction of the building he had claimed to ShinRa's use - a long walk, something that would of been much easier and comfortably done with a whistle to a cab, but unfortunately this city seemed to be lacking in such. As expected, Rufus raised a eyebrow at the mention of the woman at her fidgeting, then the mention of being a thousand years old...

Well, that was something he was not expecting.

"...Do go on." It's encouraging enough, if not a bit skeptical. But that was to be expected in a place like this.

Fights and skirmishes? Then again, she's seen some of the things which happened in this city that involved his company. His employees with their power. And politics, well she's been in fights over that too, so it should not be that surprising. "Fear weakens resolve. Even in the face of something beyond us, we still must face it ( ... )

Well, what was there to say to that? "To me it does." He admits with a light shrug of his shoulders, "But it is a common thing in your world, yes? We have already long discovered not everyone comes from the same place here."

Which was something that had been plaguing her since arriving here; did Ruby City have a form too?
